Snips has suspected asthma so he's on a four week course at the moment, so we'll see how it goes. Just hoping he doesn't have a another episode.
Just watching the edwardian farm on the iplayer and beef roast shes preppong looks great.
I love watching programmes like this, but then i am a bit of a history boffin:o0 -
Sorry guys, not been posting but I have been lurking and checking up on you all. Hope everyone with snot, colds, lurgies, are looking after themselves starting to feel a bit better. Hope everyone who has had a birthday recently had a really good one. NPM, your wedding photos are beautiful, I wish you three the very best for the rest of forever!!
Still waiting on the snow here in Dublin and we have been warned that it is going to be worse than 2 weeks ago but hopefully I have prepared for this. Plenty of food, I have eventually sorted out my freezers, (thanks everyone) and am on top of the Christmas food as everyone is coming here to us for the big day but I feel OK about that as most stuff bought and accounted for, some of it even cooked and frozen, ready to be served. I finish up work on 23rd, which is brill as normally it would be 5pm on 24th and have been told I can work from home between Christmas and New Year so no rushing to get up and be in the office for 8am....almost feel like I am on holiday. House is still a mess, to a degree but I have decided not to get stressed about it. All cards posted, most presents bought, hope to finish this tomorrow and then out with my girlets tomorrow night, really looking forward to that. I keep telling my OH that this is the best therapy he will never have to pay for, we have been friends for 46 years, they (3) met when they were 4, I joined when I was 6 and I am still considered a blow in after all these years....lol but as I keep telling OH its the best therapy he will never have to pay for!
Take care everyone, if I don't get a chance to log in before Christmas I wish each and every one of you the very best, for this Christmas and for the very new year of 2011....I am really looking forward to this year, this time, last year, I thought we were goners, but with help and assistance from everyone, things are not so bad, onwards and upwards...Cait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -
Redruby thanks for the update about Heathrow. I shall sleep better tonight.
Very OS tomorrow as we are taking sandwiches and a flask.

Sorry Cait....its snowing here, on its way to you I'm sure!
Bargainbird....glad you had a good day, many happy returns.
Got the Christmas tree this morning, its still in a bucket out in a shed as needed to move furniture around to fit it in, that's done so hopefully OH will be in humour to sort it to-morrow.
Have finally finished the Christmas knitting, might do a few scarves between now and Christmas, but might not....thing is, I've been knitting every day for so long that I will probably feel the need. Posted parcel to DGDs in London yesterday....bought DD2 an eKindle from Amazon to-day for her birthday/Christmas present, but they are not promising delivery in time, disappointed about that as had decided last week what to get her and just kept putting it off...idiot!
Really need to clean windows and put up clean curtains as everywhere looks so bare.....added to which the cold is getting in, have ordered my turkey, need to get some ham (gammon to you!) Will make mince pies nearer to day as they will all be eaten ( by me!) if I make them too early.
Dinner to-day was freezer surprise of steak and lamb chop ( one each), with turnip, cabbage, mash and cake for afters, made some soup as well, will have it for breakfast I think as will need warming once I get out of bed. Our gas supply comes from large cylinder outside and it has been freezing every night for the last few weeks....need to build some kind of insulation over it....it comes back with hot water poured over pipes but is a nuisance.
Hugs to all, especially those under the weather, welcome to newbie whose name I can't remember, keep safe and warm all.....JackieO hope that your weekend works out, JackieG hope that you have got your shoe back, its very cold for bare feet!
