considering they offer 1st class RM cheaper than expediated, i would expect expediated to mean next day delivery or whats the point of it?

well whats the point of next day delivery if you can use expedited?
  • I ordered on 20th chose free delivery first class and it came this morning 22nd

when i ordered i got 3 options to choose between, super saver, 1st class RM and Expediated.
If they had offered an option worded as next day delivery, i would have chosen it, but they didn't so I presumed that is what expediated meant, considering first class RM is only meant to take a day, i also presumed that it would be sent by courier.
    I dont think thats unreasonable.

Well got a call just now from Amazon the tv which was sent out on 16th has disappeared, I suspected the courier (city link) is at fault there system is totally inept and I cant understand why this depot would have it given its not near my area, I usually get parcels from York/Leeds not Leeming Northallerton

They can send me another tv but obviously wont get it now until xmas

I've ordered 2 things, both apparently dispatched on the 16th. One is from Amazon itself and is only a small thing costing less than £3 so not so worried about that yet. The other is nearly £90 worth of guitar pedal from one of the sellers. I rang the seller who was really helpful, comfirmed they'd sent it but did tell me that City Link by them (in Kent) were snowed under - literally and metaphorically - and maybe that was why they were delayed. he rang me back today with the tracking number and I find it shows on the CityLink website as due for delivery on the 21st and is sitting 30 mins away in their Warrington depot. We've had hardly any snow here so no idea why they haven't managed it and what's really annoying is that when I tried to ring I just got a recorded message saying they were very busy and had no customer service people available, then it hung up!

    Aw, bless him!

Next year I'm ordering by mid-November, or buying it in person in shops.
    I can't take the tension!

It looks like I spoke too soon, I got a text from OH yesterday just after lunch to say all the Amazon parcels had turned up! Very late, but here before Christmas so now he has a smile on his face :)
