Amazon Shipping Dilemma!

i have some with an estimated date of the 8th and still no sign but when i checked the tracking it said delivered yesterday but god knows where it wasn't here. Have lots more overdue too.

I ordered the kindle last Thurs dispatch day today but i changed the delivery option last night to make sure i got it for Christmas, and i did not have to cancel the order just change the delivery options. Just got the email to say it has been dispatched.

The thing it, it's not just Amazon. I'm sure. I use an online DVD rental service and I sent back a DVD over a week ago and it's not arrived with them yet (meaning I can't get a new one yet >.<).

If I were you I would not order anything from Amazon for Xmas delivery because there is a very real chance, even with next day delivery selected and paid for, that your item will not arrive and Amazon's customer services aren't handling it very well.

Snow in Scotland is hardly a rarity is it yet that seems to be their excuse. They must be losing £millions in refunds.

but where are you items coming from?
I know many in London think its the centre of the UK and everythnig comes from there
but Amazon fulfil from all over the UK and sometimes mainland Europe for UK orders

I have had a nightmare with Amazon and Play. I now have all my amazon parcels, but I ordered them on the 27th November. ad the last one came yesterday. Play.com I ordered on 2nd Dec, and no sigh of them. Play have Re-ordered them. Also one parcel from Amazon got broken, so that was supposed to be sent monday FIRST CLASS! Prob get it next year. All im saying is, I dont think it matters what option you choose it can and will be delayed.

I had an item despatched on the 2nd December, received into RM office on 3rd, expected delivery - 8th. Still not received and I spoke to Amazon (for the 3rd time) today who have now despatched the two items again. This time, they have been sent using City Link.

I ordered on 29th November, dispatched 1st December with a estimated delivery 3rd December, i recieved it today :-( . From the tracking it has been on its jollies in the Scotish distribution centre.
I rang them Monday, and they said they emailed R/M to demand delivery by 15th which was yesterday.
I could have kissed the van driver this morning.
If anyone need the contact number let me know and i will forwrd it to you, took me ages to find it the other day.

I have been lucky with my Amazon orders, Play on the other hand have been a complete nightmare and I have given up with them now.

Does anyone know what rights you have in regards to getting a refund or discount if it doesn't arrive? With expidited shipping they say that it should arrive for the 22nd/23rd. If it *doesn't* arrive before Christmas, am I able to ask for money off by any chance or do I have to wait the 30 days for 'reasonable shipping' time?
