I actually just sent an email to Amazon asking exactly that question, where their fulfilment station is. I'll let you know as soon as I have a reply0 -
I dont know, I now have ALL my orders from amazon and 2 of one of them, which I will have to send back :rotfl:
As for Play, will never order from them again!
I did hear Amazon sacked a lot of staff, not sure if this is true or now, and if it is, I think Amazon might be on my list of not ordering.Saving 2.00 coinsGrocerys set to 40.00 pwBeing Thrifty0 -
I have noticed a bit of a slump in their delivery times over the past year, just a little, but it's kinda hard to avoid purchasing from Amazon if you're ordering online.0

is it meant to be adverse weather causing the delays or are they just short of stock I wonder? hopefully we will both be lucky and get them in time for chrissy0 -
I ordered baby equipment from Amazon yesterday afternoon and got it this morning in perfect condition. Free delivery.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

From recent experience, the problems in delay are not with Amazon or independent carriers but Royal Mail.
I tracked a parcel which arrived at the Royal Mail distribution centre in Warrington a week last Tuesday at 0730hrs.
It sat there for seven days before it was moved to our local delivery office (about 8 miles away) then took two days from there.
Things ordered the week after this parcel within 36 hours from independent carriers.0 -
I ordered my Kindle, paid for 1st class delivery, that was on the 8th December and I'm still waiting... their delivery date was the 14th, it's now the 17th.:(
our roads have been free from snow for over a week now...
but since I go on holiday before Christmas I'm running out of time of take delivery.
I'm wondering if it will then sit in the depot for a fortnight when I'm not here to pick it up, or will it get shipped back to Amazon...Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

If you want any chance of getting it for Xmas, I would send it expedited.
My orders from a week ago have not yet arrived from Amazon and they were sent expedited as we are Prime members.
Spoke to City Link who said our depot( Durham) is so backed up she has doubts that we will get it before Christmas. They have even banned collections from the depot (sounds like things are a nightmare!) so we cannot pick them up.
You might be one of the lucky ones though!0 -

I emailed Amazon a couple of days ago regarding an order that should have been delivered on Tuesday, they didn't reply so I emailed them again yesterday asking where my order is.
Trying to get through on the phone is a nightmare so as I still hadn't had a reply this morning i went to email them yet again but was met with a message saying they are experiencing delays replying to emails
Why on earth should there be a delay replying to emails?
So good luck getting a speedy reply from them.
Up until now I've always had decent service from Amazon, seemingly they can't cope when we get a bit of snow0
