Payday tomorrow but I won't be paying anything off this month.
My Dad has been diagnosed with terminal cancer, completely devastated.
Everything is still up in the air, I'll be speaking to the doctors this week and I'm thinking of quitting my job to be nearer to him, which of course means I need money to survive. So I've decided for now to keep any excess in my bank account for the next couple of months, until I'm clear on exactly what this means, I don't want money to become a deciding factor in any of this.
I think I'm going to have to bow out of this challenge. Some things are much more important than money.
Well done on the progress so far guys and a big congratulations to those who have already met the challenge. :T Amazing work.Debt at 1/5/09 £21,996 _pale_

Just updated signature with first payment made this month which was £260.65 on credit card. Still got loan payment and payment to inlaws to make before this month is considered done but we're plodding on and doing all we can before maternity pay kicks in.
Well done to all those people who have met the target already! Very impressive.
Good luck for the rest of the month for those like me who are still ticking away at debts but feeling very proud to do so. xxWandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

Childcare costs have gone down this month so my pay was £170 more than normal :j The downside is I have to start doing 7-3 shifts from next week to be able to pick kids up from school... not a great time of the year to start it!!
Paid £1030 to MBNA. Can't believe I'm down to one card. Roll on Feb...

£6227.35 is my total so far. DH has been out of work for almost 2 months now so we've been struggling to find any spare! Luckily he is now working so we should be back on it soon!
