Thank-you. I'm sure 3 digits will be here before you know it. :j

I actually don't know what I'm going to do with all my time once my debts are paid. I spend large amounts of time either working out my debt free date (I'm talking full sensitivity analysis), planning my spending, trying to generate extra income and studying my old credit card bills!! Completely obsessed, I wish I could learn to not let it dominate my life, but when I tried not thinking about it the debt just stagnated, I managed to pay off less than a grand in a year- oops.

Drrat hope your wrist is better soon.

I've decided to throw caution to the wind and pay another £100 off my Barclaycard today. Signature updated. That only leaves me with £220 for food, petrol and any other entertainment until August 31st, challenging but doable. :D

I am the same I enjoy looking at my spreadsheets and playing around with the numbers. I think once I pay off the debts I will have a savings spreadsheet to compensate with. Like you I have found that I need to keep my eye on it otherwise I forget.

Ditto! I actually LOVE my spreadsheet, it makes me feel so much better to just look at the numbers and know that I'm in control.

We have so far still to go and even though the largest single debt is to the in laws and is therefore interest free I hate that we're not paying them more a month so am constantly looking at ways to make an extra payment.

And on top of that we really need to save any money left over at the minute in preparation for when I'm on maternity leave and we're not receiving my full pay. Phew! It's a never ending challenge.

Payday on Wednesday so will be back later in the week but have paid £33 to MBNA which has been made up of rounding down the bank balance to the nearest £10 each Friday.

All quiet on this thread so hope everyone is doing well with their debt busting. :money:

    Payday today so...

    £200 to in-laws and £800 to HSBC.

Getting very close to being sub-£5k on the credit cards... won't happen this month but it's getting closer :T

Off on holiday this weekend for a week down in Cornwall. Fingers crossed for good weather.

  • t4mof well done, nearly under 5k is brilliant. :j

I'm posting my update a little early as I'm going away on Friday, it's going to be a very cheap holiday, I have an excel spreadsheet budget in place and determined to stick to it. :D In fact I really want to come 51 gbp under- so I can push my total debt under the 8000 mark!

I have set up my automatic payments to come out as soon as I am paid. The total reduction to debt this month will be-

    450 Creation
    900 Barclaycard
    1350 total.

I'm nearly 50% of the way to meeting this challenge. :) Not sure I'm quite going to do it, but going to give it my best shot!

Hope you've all had a great month.

    And £101 to MBNA.

That's me done for the month.

Next month HSBC will be gone and MBNA will be all that's left :D

See you all in a month...

    Yaaaaay! Been paid today. :D

Have made £200 payment to virgin credit card and am excited to notice that after next months payment the card should have less than £1000 on the balance. That will feel like such an achievement.

In addition, I realised what I'd be tracking as my balance based on my own payments was £232 above what my balance actually is. So somewhere along the line I've missed out a payment or two on my spreadsheet so am going to add that to my balance. WOOP!

Debts are slowly disappearing. Will be back with full update after payment to in laws and loan direct debits have gone through.
