All possible payments now made for this month

Original £200 for credit card, plus another £33.99.
    Usual £181.94 for loan and
    £50 to in-laws.

I'm no where near where I wanted to be at this point this year but have to remember that we've moved house, we're expecting our first baby, we've gone to two weddings and we haven't increased our debt once!
Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...

Congratulations on the baby news and I think you should be proud of yourself for having all those events and not increasing your debt - it would have been easy to do so.

    What a disapointing month.....

We spent far more on new school year preperation than we planned.
We spent far more going to a wedding than we planned.
We generally overspent on top of this.
An interview for a job which would have had a healthy rise attached, which i thought I had nailed, did not go as well as I thought.
The car went in for two new front tyres, came out with new tyres, brake pads, discs and a warning on some more work that needed doing.

So my repayment plans have somewhat been dented....

My Debt repaid for the year has moved from £3899.84 to £4052.92 (37% of 11k) a net movement of £153, not quite what I had planned,

Worse still that excludes some expenses that have hit September, which will dent septembers figures. My budget for September has us paying £1400 off our debt, so I am crossing my fingers we still exceed £1000

My main target now is to by the end of the year is to clear credit cards, catalogues and pay back father in law, I was well on track but it seems this is getting trickier and trickier as the year end approaches, I am still hopeful though! No CCs and no Catalogues will say goodbye to expensive debt.

    Hi Everyone,

Hopefully a little motivation. I recently changed jobs and was trundling along, not really worrying but not happy. I had made little inroad into the 11K until a few months back. Due to a pleasant set of circumstances I have spent the last 6 months flying around the world managing projects.

As an aside the OT got extreme, and I met and smashed through the 11K after about 2 months. I now have enough to pay ALL my creditors in full. A journey that could have taken me another 3 years.

I don't mention this to brag. I mention it so that people see there is hope. I never expected to be flown round the world to fix my companies issues. (I found out 3 days before I flew). It was a stroke of good luck. It does happen. Had anyone said I would be flown round the world all expenses paid just 18 months ago, I would have called them crazy.

So you can mark me down as having hit the 11K, through very fortunate circumstances.

Well done to those that have reached 11k.

I can happily say I have reached the target also. Just paid off HSBC £800 :j

And another £160 has gone to MBNA.

So just one credit card to go and Feb 2012 is still the target. £4300 left on 0% till Feb so really want to do it.

I may even be able to up the repayments to £1k a month from next month because I no longer have to pay for my boys to go to after school club. Me and DH work together and our boss is allowing us to do shifts that fit around one dropping off and one picking up from school so I should be £200 a month better off from October's pay :T

Back again as payment to in-laws yesterday of £200

I cancelled my childcare vouchers and after school club yesterday as well and if my calculations are right I may have only £900 left on MBNA by Dec 31st. So so close to clearing these cards for good... then I start on my loans!!
