Is it too late for me to start?
I've got £10,500 on my credit cards at 0%. I've have a diary on the mortgage free wannabe's forum, but I'm getting fed up on managing lots of cards aran constantly transferring balances. They are all starting to charge me 3% to transfer balances and my mortgage interest is 3.69%. So there seems little to be gained from transferring all the time.
Going to stop my over payments to my mortgage and use the £500 per month to reduce my cc debt. My aim is to try and reduce my cc debt to £5K by the end of the year.

Payday today and made it through 5 weekends with money still in the account :j

Paid £200 to in-laws and £80 to HSBC today.

Bit of a slip up on the old MBNA card this month thanks to George Michael announcing another tour, Huddersfield Town reaching the play off final and the up and coming Take That concert which also requires a night in a hotel due to it being in Manchester. :o

However, it's just temporary as in-laws are paying for play off hotel for OHs birthday and I'm going to Take That with 4 others so will get money back for that hotel booking so hopefully will be back in a couple of weeks with some extra payments.

Managed to collect over £30 by rounding down my account each Friday so I'm adding that to my MBNA payment this month.

    Hi everyone :j

I know I'm a tad late but can I join please?

At the moment my debt stands around 13k and want this paid before I turn 30 (end of the year) so this is the perfect challenge to keep me motivated.
I'm in the lucky position of having more disposable income this year (working abroad) so it'll still be tough, but if I'm careful and send lump sums home every month I should be able to do it.

I'm hoping posting my amounts paid on here will keep me accountable, I've been doing far too much living life recently! :D

    Hi All,

Another £150.61 off tesco & hsbc for me today.

Received info from Halifax about new interest charges so not looking forward to when my interest free period runs out.

    Updates in signature.

Carry on the good work all.
