Told OH today that we should only owe £1500 by the end of the year and now he's on a mission to try and earn it so we can be debt free before 2012 :T
Not 100% sure we'll do it but it's a good aim to have.
Good luck! That sounds like a great extra challenge to set yourselves, you're doing really well so why not!!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! Debts cleared nearly £18k. Now to start saving ...0 -

Well signature updated at last.... too many bank holidays meant a tense wait to see what was paid off so far!
So...
£181.94 paid to LloydsTSB loan.
£225.00 paid to virgin credit card.
£50 paid to in-laws.
Although progress on debts feels slower than hoped there is now £1,036.80 in the savings account. As we're hoping to move into a bigger home this month that money has been needed to be put to one side in order to get ready for deposits etc. So if I counted that towards my overall total I'd be at 38.81%!!Wandered away from the MSE track for a while but am back and on a mission! £700 to Halifax today and that's me done for 3 weeks until next payday.
We're almost through our events... I actually get a weekend to myself this week which is the first one since 19th March!
So May brings:
DS1 birthday
Evening wedding reception
OH birthday
Still got quite a lot to fork out for although DS1's presents are almost bought and picked up a couple of things for OH already.
And £1.96 transferred today to round down my account.
