You can download the manual with the recipes from the MR website. There is a link somewhere earlier in this thread, but you can click on downloads from their homepage and that will get you there.

You'll need strong bread flour, (I know some people here use ordinary plain but I haven't tried that) skimmed milk powder, (like Marvel, but I use supermarket's own), sunflower oil, salt, sugar, fast acting yeast and tap water.

I hope it arrives soon -mine only took 2 working days to arrive from MR, and I absolutely love it. Have got to fill mine up later to bake a loaf overnight. Yippee! The smell of fresh bread in the morning.

Let us know how you get on.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I have just started to use my new MR bread maker, and am having problems.

I have put the ingredients into the pan and selected programme 6 (fastbake), but nothing is happening. I have pressed start, but then it beeps, and the timer HHH flashes. I tried pressing the timer down arrow and it goes back onto programme 6, but nothing happens.

I'm sure I'm, doing something really stupid, but can anyone help ?

    Thanks,

    Hi

The HHH means the pan is too hot - have you done the pre-heating thingy? This happened to me :)

Turn it all off, leave the lid open and give it a while, maybe half an hour? Then it should be fine :)

Good luck with your bread - you'll love it!!!

Yup too hot. Leave the machine (minus the pan) for a bit. If it continues to do it then you have a technical problem

Thanks for that, took your advice, and it is now working.

Maybe I missed the bit about letting it cool down ? if not, they should mention it in the instructions.

I've got the leek and potato soup cooking, so lunch will be soup and hm bread yummmmm

I don't believe it, now the bl**dy paddle is stuck inside the loaf

Any idea how to get it out without totally destroying my loaf ?

This has not got off to a good start

Have a fiddle while it's still warm. It does make a bit of a hole, but you don't notice until the end of the loaf, and by that stage I'm usually blitzing it into breadcrumbs for the freezer as there's a fresh loaf in the BM.

(Meant to say, it does happen occasionally, but not all the time!)
