If you are looking for a new one the fastbake is on offer at the moment for £29.55 including p&p directly from Morphy Richards.

Only the panasonic rates higher amongst some Old Stylers, but at that price I'm happy to settle for second best.

Great minds, lil_me! :D Sorry didn't see your post before I posted.

You won't regret it, I love my fastbake! I bought mine when it was on special offer thinking I'd use it now and again. I use it almost daily and we haven't had to buy shop bought bread since...except for once or twice when I've forgotten to put the breadmaker on! :o

I love my fast bake. I got mine a couple of weeks back, £22 off of ebay. I use it along side an earlier MR bread machine nearly every day. Yesterday I made garlic and butter bread in my early MR bread machine, and a seeded loaf in my fast bake :-) Shall be putting two loaves on tonight when I go to bed ready for tomorrow. All great fun :-) The other day, my 16yr daughter said "all I seem to be doing is eating home made bread and home made cakes. I never seem to feel hungry now a days." lol.

    what is the difference between
    Fastbake Cooltouch Breadmaker
    Product Number - 48280
    and
    Stainless Steel Fastbake Breadmaker
    Product Number - 48268
. I think I have the 1st one and didn't know if the 2nd is a better choice. Thanks

The cooltouch doesn't get hot on the outside, the stainless one does. I went for the stainless to match the other appliances I had at the time as it's out of the way so the kids can't touch it anyway. Both the same recipes etc used as my manual is for both. If I had little ones around who may touch the sides where it'll be kept when in use I would go for the cool touch one.
One day I might be more organised...........

What essentials do I need to buy so that I can get cracking the day I get it?
