It's fab!
First loaf finished at 2.00 today - not sure that it'll see tomorrow morning tho' - too delish.
Must admit I cheated slightly and used a mix as I had it in cupboard and am trying to avoid shopping til the last possible moment.
I would like to say a big 'THANK YOU' to all the people giving advice and encouragement on this thread (especially lil_me who first mentioned the Stainless Steel one for £34.99 on Amazon), because without you I doubt I would have actually taken the plunge and bought one.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a basic loaf and the sandwich bread please? Is the sandwich one better for sandwiches somehow? (I've only made basic so far)Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0

I am really really tempted to buy the fastbake SS one on Amazon, but I am hesitant because I have been saving for the Panasonic SD253. Does anyone know how they compare in terms of use and loaf quality? I like the idea of the automatic nut seed thing but it is not essential, but I had a breadmaker when they first came out (I think it was a Prima one) and the only loaf which was edible was the french loaf and that was a bit iffy. I do like the idea of HM bread though,as I am always running out of bread and going to the supermarket to get it and coming out with £20 odd quids worth of other stuff I didn't really need:oJane

Sandwich bread I find sweeter, and a little more 'dense' the crusts softer but thicker.
Essexgirl pleased to hear you got one, I nearly paid £70 in Argos for one until I seen that.
My theory, ok everyone goes on about the Panasonic one, but I bought it and would just sell it if I didn't like it, and I like it so it's stayingOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Has anyone else had the problem of the bread pan not staying put, and jumping out of the little clip things at the side - ending up with bread not being mixed properly?
Really annoying - it means I can't rely on it to automatically make bread for the morning0 -

Nope.. and I'd be contacting the manufacturer it sounds like a fault.. and a rather dangerous one if the pan was hot at the time!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Unfortunately it's well out of warranty - so I'll just have to use it when I'm near it.0

This happened to me for the first time this morning.........Woke up, bread looks, smells and tastes great but the pan wasn't in its usual fixed position. If it happens again I'll call their helpline to see what's up.

Yours has maybe jumped later on in the mixing - whereas mine has done it early on. Hope it doesn't progress to doing it earlier.0
