I haven't had a bad one yet
I was thinking of the JAM function, but there is only 2 recipes in the book so going to hunt and see if I can find one for plum jam as I have a lot of them to use up. If anyone knows where I can find one, that would be appreciated too
I did find a thread on my searches that said use same weight plums to sugar, but the BM seems to be a litle more precise with what to make and how.
My first disaster might be baking now, was a little late adding the fruit for the fruit loaf by about 10 minutes. One day I might be more organised...........

Well I'm quite disappointed so far. I made my first loaf and was going well until when it was supposed to finish it started again! I was met by a lot of breadcrumbs. After leaving it for a few hours whilst at work, I have tried to do a fastbake loaf, but when I turned it on again it restarted again! I've tried holding down the stop button, which just made it go faster. Any ideas?"Failure is always an option"

Hi,
I've just joined and I've also just got a Morphy Richards fastbake BM with my Nectar points, so can I join ..please
I've one quick question to ask, which may well have been answered somewhere in the depths of this thread, but being lazy (and short of time) I thought I'd ask anyway. The two loaves I've baked so far (which turned out surprisingly well) I used Allinsons white bread flour but I thought this was quite expensive. Question is, is it okay to use own brand bread flour and what brands, if any, can you recommend?
Thanks

I just use value plain flour @ about 29p a pack.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Thanks squeaky.
I take it that the bread turns out okay with that. It's just that the booklet (and my mum) were full of dire warnings about only using proper bread-making flour.

I am on my second MRFB. The 1st one only came on when it felt like it and after about 10mths the bread pan disintergrated. Got a replacement and so far so good. Mine is in use daily and I couldn't be without it, DH reckons they don't make them to last as they expect people to chuck them in the cupboard after a couple of uses!!0
