Why didn't I think of that
Anything else I google - anything I think is cooking my brain turns to mush
Thanks. If I find a good recipe through your link I'll post it when we've tried itI live in my own little world. But it's okay. They know me here.0 -
Have been off-line a few days.
Carrie - so glad the ideas worked and you now have restored faith in the BM! I have just cooked a fruit loaf (my BFs fav) and it smells fab!!

I made the cheese and onion bread last night. I put on the dough setting because I wanted the crusty loaf shape.
When the dough cycle was finished I kneaded it, shaped it, brushed with melted butter and covered in cling film. After it had risen, I covered the top in grated cheese and baked in the oven. The most delicious crusty loaf I've ever had!

Has anyone else accidentally left the bread in the breadmaker for too long after it finished baking.
I went out without thinking, and my bread was in there fr a bout an hour longer than is should and has a wet bottom.
I'm trying drying it out in a low oven - does anyone else have any ideas?0 -

Hi everyone
I have not posted for over a week as I have been away visiting family but it is good to hear that this thread is still going strong, I'm going to have to look through all the added hints and tips and catch up.
I did do a small fastbake loaf before I went away and put this in the freezer for our return. It has now defrosted and tastes fine, although have only had it toasted. Will have to get cracking tomorrow and get a few more loafs made.
Cheers

Could somebody kindly measure the dimensions of their MR Fastbake for me please. I've looked everywhere to find out how wide, high and deep it is before I order one but can't find this info.0
