Do you still think that the left hand lane should merge with the right?
Yes, quite simply you can see the kerb bend to the left,(so much for the poster who said it was "arrow straight"), and the centre line remain just about parallel with the opposite side of the road and continues in such a manner for a considerable distance.

I see the right hand lane ending, arrows indicating that any cars in the right hand lane should merge with the left, and if they don't they will end up on the wrong side of the road.0

If you would like another point(s) where the arrows are wrong, using Google view continue up the road to the next set of lights, as you go across that junction the same thing happens but more pronounced, if you then turn Google through 180 degrees and come back through that same junction, you will see it happen again, 3 time is the space of about half a mile they get the arrows wrong!

But the arrows are not wrong. To repeat, the right hand lane is ending, and if the cars in that lane don't merge left they will end up on the wrong side of the road. Hence the arrows pointing left. How hard is that to understand.0

No they won't!
If you stay in the r/h lane you continue up the road, if you stay in the l/h lane you will end upon the pavement! That is why when the r/h lane drivers merge to the left, they immeadiately have to go right then left again to stay on the road!
I drive it 3-4 times a week, I know it!

So just to summarise after coming to have a look at this thread. If you are an advanced driver and you believe the road markings are incorrect then you do the opposite to what they are advising?0
-
To be fair, the arrows aren't wrong...... The idiot who put them there was wrong and the rest of the driving public has to obey them“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

The road is straight until it bends left. The only way that someone in the left hand lane would end up on the pavement is if someone in the right hand lane forced them onto it through inconsiderate driving. Otherwise they can continue straight on.0 -
Sorry for not responding quickly, have been out driving:j
The Audi was alongside me at the red lights, as we set off the Escort did right and went.
The Audi seemed hesitant and as the Toyota slowed was about 8-9 feet behind my front bumper, making me the lead vehicle with right of way as , (despite what has been said to the contrary), he needed to move to the right.
I am not answering the other points since my last post as they have been done to death, I am just glad that some others can see what is plain, the left hand lane is the one that should merge to the right.
.
So the zipper principle is good, unless it's your turn to give way then?
And what's that attempted overtaking across a set of lights in the other video?
Did the car you lost it with turn right there by any chance?0 -
