8 is way to young for Call of Duty black ops, my son is 9 and is banned from his dads copy of the original call of duty as I dont think he is old enough to be shooting people and seeing their bodies blown apart.
I know he has played call of duty at one of his mates houses (was the fathers game and parents either werent watching or didnt give a monkeys, not sure which ) and after we had alot of talk of how 'cool' it was when peoples heads blew up etc. A few stern words about playing a game he knows is not allowed and friends house now banned from his roaming area, the excitement of trying to kill as many people as possible seems to have gone and hes happily playing Mario on his Wii.

This is why children should never be given games they can't mentally cope with:

He's 14 and has black ops.

Why don't you go one step further and let him watch a copy of Serbian Film for his sex ed? 14 is way way too young for Black Ops.

    A) fake film is fake
    B) were it real, it wouldn't be one he can't cope with, it would be one he can't cope without...

1 quick (unrecommended) google later, and I can tell you that you have a seriously warped view of games if you think they are in anyway comparable to that.

Are you saying that COD Black Ops is suitable for a 14 year old then?

Are you comparing computer games to a borderline pornographic film, which features some of the most disturbing scenes in cinema history?

  • I'm usually against people getting 18 or 15 rated things for underage kids, but after 60 hours of gameplay, I can't see why there's an 18 tag. Probably just pandering to idiots like you. I would say it should be 15, and as such, the answer is no, but not far off it.

And are you saying that film is comparable to a mainstream game? You need your head sorted if so.
