So - if you don't think it is suitable for a 14 year old - how are you unsure about an 8 year old?If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

Just to go back to the origional point.
My hubby has this game and its really violent! There are some quite scary bits too IMO.
I would steer clear!
I love horror films etc but when I was that age a game such as COD would have scared me.
I think kids buy into all the hype and decide they want a game but it may well be a bit much for him if he gets it!0 -
I'm pretty sure there's an option on the more recent COD games to 'turn off the violence'
It's like a content filter in the options menu
Not that I'm agreeing with an 8 year old having it though! I just know of people that have bought it for their teens and done this.
It's not so much the violence, especially as this can be filtered but there are some levels an 8 year old would find pretty scaryFuture Mrs Gerard Butler

I think giving an 8 year old a violent video game is a child protection issue and I would call Social Services.0

When me and my brother were younger (8 & 6) we played grand theft auto, doom, quake etc. I don't think it has affected us in anyway and we still love video games now, including Black Ops. Saying that, back then the graphics were a lot less realistic. I was going to say I don't think you should buy it for him but then I realised I let my 9 year old sister play Left for Dead 2 the other day. I'd say it's up to you.0
