MONEY MORAL DILEMMA: Would you want them sacked?

Then I’d expect the employee whose job is on the line, to seek advice from their solicitor for an unfair dismissal claim.
I think that the point being missed here is the fact that the employers are at fault for not properly training their staff, the right training would ensure that the employee's where giving out the correct advice!
The fact that this employee is on their final warning speaks volume's, as a manager/executive officer within the civil service, I’d of dragged their backsides back into training after 2 (if not 1) misadvised customer complaint, making sure that they didn't give the wrong advise again.0 -
Of course I would complain - if that person has done this before and nothing has been done about improving their performance, then I would also want to speak to the manager about their competence too. It's not necessarily the individual's fault if the training is inadequate, but my money is hard to come by and I can't afford to throw it away just because someone else is lacking competence.:beer:0

I would report it as fact, get my money back and let them reach their own conclusions.0
-
You would have to sack them, I was for being ill, but that's for another day0
-
I would complain on the grounds that if someone is not doing their job properly and it is costing you money then they shouldn't be doing the job at all. After all they must have already made several mistakes if they are on their last warning0
-
Have to agree with most people. If a person is clearly incompetent at their job then he/she shouldn't be doing it.
Most decent employers would try their hardest not to go down the discipline route, unless that member of staff was showing extreme incompetence or basically wasn't trying hard enough.
I'd find it extremely unprofessional if someone tried to emotionally blackmail me as well as costing me £100 in the first place. I'd have to complain.0 -
No one gets caught the first time so they'll havev made a few !!!!-ups before getting to the stage we're at......
Fek'em, to the Lions wiv'em......:rotfl:0 -
they really shouldnt have told you if the person was on their last warning or not i'd still complainbe loyal, be loud, be cas, be proud
look learn laugh love rainbows has begun0 -
I would be sorry for the person but would still complain and want my money back. I would write separately to the company saying that they should not put employees under threat for mistakes; they should train the employee better or, if they appear unable to get to grips with that particular job, move them to one more suited to their talent/ability.
take care

definatly complain and add the extra complaint that they tried emotional blackmail too!
and ask the pointed question why was someone who was so obviously imcompetant given the role where thay could and did cost you £100.00
tea boy / girl would be a better role for them.if at first you don't succeed then sky diving is not for you.0
