  • Hi all,

Back from a short time away - lots to catch up on, but I've managed to top up my shortfall payment which was previously £150 for August up to £200 - Mrs Bliss got some tax back on a savings account.

I'm also overpaying my regular £200 for September, so it's now looking like this year to date:

    #29 - Overpay by £2,050.00

Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %

    January: 170.83 / 170.83 / 8.33% / 70.67 / 70.67 (100.16) / 3.45%
    February: 170.83 / 341.67 / 16.67% / 70.67 / 141.34 (200.33) / 6.89%
    March: 170.83 / 512.50 / 25.00% / 120.67 / 262.01 (250.49) / 12.78%
    April: 170.83 / 683.33 / 33.33% / 200.00 / 462.01 (221.32) / 22.54%
    May: 170.83 / 854.17 / 41.67% / 200.00 / 662.01 (192.16) / 32.29%
    June: 170.83 / 1,025.00 / 50.00% / 200.00 / 862.01 (162.99) / 42.05%
    July: 170.83 / 1,195.83 / 58.33% / 200.00 / 1,062.01 (133.82) / 51.81%
    August: 170.83 / 1,366.67 / 66.67% / 200.00 / 1,262.01 (104.66) / 61.56%
    September: 170.83 / 1,537.50 / 75.00% / 200.00 / 1,462.01 (75.49) / 71.32%

    Total overpaid: £1,462.01

A further 3 overpayments of £200 in October to December will see me hit my target. Could have overpaid a little more today, but holding onto the cash to see how the accounts pan out.

  • Hi all,

Got a little bit of ISA interest care of Nationwide, so I've rounded up and made a supplemental £25 overpayment (yesterday actually).

September now stacks up as follows:

    #29 - Overpay by £2,050.00

Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %

    January: 170.83 / 170.83 / 8.33% / 70.67 / 70.67 (100.16) / 3.45%

    March: 170.83 / 512.50 / 25.00% / 120.67 / 262.01 (250.49) / 12.78%
    April: 170.83 / 683.33 / 33.33% / 200.00 / 462.01 (221.32) / 22.54%
    May: 170.83 / 854.17 / 41.67% / 200.00 / 662.01 (192.16) / 32.29%
    June: 170.83 / 1,025.00 / 50.00% / 200.00 / 862.01 (162.99) / 42.05%
    July: 170.83 / 1,195.83 / 58.33% / 200.00 / 1,062.01 (133.82) / 51.81%
    August: 170.83 / 1,366.67 / 66.67% / 200.00 / 1,262.01 (104.66) / 61.56%
    September: 170.83 / 1,537.50 / 75.00% / 225.00 / 1,487.01 (50.49) / 72.54%

    Total overpaid: £1,487.01

At this point, I don't envisage making any further overpayments this month, but I'm just £50 behind my year to date total.

Will keep an eye on this thread - next post on 1st October...

I did treat myself to an Xbox Kinect for my birthday - mostly financed by monetary gifts (get me and my first game console at 40 :D). I bought it to get my @rse off the sofa and so far its working - I love Dance Central.....but only on my own and only with the curtains closed. But other than that I've kept a good rein on my spending. Buying a good variety of tasty but healthy food on budget remains challenging.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday. Glad you are enjoying Dance Central. They do say that life begins at 40. Enjoy.
