Haven't really done any overpaying this year - been saving for our wedding and honeymoon (got married may 21st this year) and for a new bathroom for the house.

Money for the bathroom in account ready to go - check
    Married - check
credit card cleared from honeymoon - winging its way to credit card company

Now lets crack on with the overpayments. I paid 3k extra in earlier this year but took it back for the wedding so am starting back at the beginning. Will have to revise to £6k overpayment target as have two Nationwide products so 1k a month is max I can pay

    No. 19 update.

Emptied my penny jar (since it was full) yesterday.
Counted it at work today and there was nearly £120 in it. :T
I'm adding £100 of it to my overpayments for June.

    Total for june is £2,150.

Wow, very nice total for June uzu! :)

Think this is my first overpayment in this whole thread, despite being a regular on the 2010 mfw one! Had a dabble on futures investments and um, it didn't go so well, so I'm pretty delighted to have made an overpayment of £1,000 today - I'm probably quite sad, but it is such a nice feeling to start getting it paid off again!

Just wish I was (still) with a better provider that actually let me see my remaining balance etc, hate C&G.

I've been really naughty and haven't posted my totals for months...whoops! But we have been paying a steady £300 a month the last few months, no room for anything else as have been super-busy with weddings and decorating and important birthdays! Hoping to up the amount for the second part of the year!

Total of £20k since January 2011.

It'll probably be less next month as it's on the way to holiday season, and that's a better way to spend money rather than saving I say :)

Wow, some of your overpayments are incredibly impressive - £20k in less than half a year is just amazing! At that rate it'd take me less than 2 years to pay off my mortgage lol, if only huh...

    #93 reporting in.
Birmingham Midshires as finally posted the cheque from the compensation scheme to the account - only a month late!
So £2448 has been overpaid on the account.
Cake, could you update my figure please.
The June mortgage payment hasn't been collected yet - supposed to be today, will update once taken.

We have put our house on the market, but only had 1 viewing so far which we think are time wasters. We have seen another property we like with much more potential for the same asking price so no increasing the mortgage massively if at all. but time will tell.

Keep up all the hard work everyone.
