Made another OP due to a change in my current account (Lloyds TSB Vantage) - figured it was better off against my mortgage than earning 0.01%!

Another £1,500 done, love this overpayment malarkey - such a good feeling!

Hi. Quick update for July since the overpayments will be collected within a few hours!

    #29 - Overpay by £2,050.00

Month: Ideal Pay / Ideal Total / Ideal % / Actual Pay / Actual Total (Diff) / Actual %

    January: 170.83 / 170.83 / 8.33% / 70.67 / 70.67 (100.16) / 3.45%
    February: 170.83 / 341.67 / 16.67% / 70.67 / 141.34 (200.33) / 6.89%
    March: 170.83 / 512.50 / 25.00% / 120.67 / 262.01 (250.49) / 12.78%
    April: 170.83 / 683.33 / 33.33% / 200.00 / 462.01 (221.32) / 22.54%
    May: 170.83 / 854.17 / 41.67% / 200.00 / 662.01 (192.16) / 32.29%
    June: 170.83 / 1,025.00 / 50.00% / 200.00 / 862.01 (162.99) / 42.05%
    July: 170.83 / 1,195.83 / 58.33% / 200.00 / 1,062.01 (133.82) / 51.81%

    Total overpaid: £1,062.01

Ok. Pretty small beer compared to some, but considering our standard mortgage payment also includes a considerable overpayment due to radically shortening the term, this is about pretty much all the funds that's left in the pot!

Good news is that I've broken through the £1k barrier, plus I've overpaid just over half (51.81%) of the £2,050 target.

Don't anticipate any further overpayments until August now - car service and MOT looming.

Sarahevie hit the years total, £6053 - going to try a bit more - but going to be really hard. This is despite the necessities of £4000 on a new garden and new boiler can't have the kids going cold:D
    OPs so far £42,139

With the new mortgage in place (fixed for 5 years @ 3.75% - mortgage term reduced from 17 to 10years) and the emergency fund filled, its time to really get stuck in to the overpayments

No. 58 reporting in with our first ever overpayment - £500
