    Mortgage overpayments are: £2,050.

This takes my Year To Date total to £13,950 which exceeds my £11,000 target that I set at the start of the year.

I've decided to change the target to £20,000 in overpayments in 2011 and hopefully reduce the mortgage to £36,000 by year end.
I've been very strict with household expenditure this year and it has helped a lot.

Also OH has been tasked to curb spending on non-essentials and c**p and divert all savings to mortgage and that has helped.
He has been a lot more receptive since the redundancies at his workplace last year.
Although he ended up with a new job and a pay rise (it could have been very different), he knows that our best bet is to make hay while the sun shines and clear the debt.

No 214 reporting for the first time.

We moved into our new house at the end of June and this month made our first overpayment of £700.

Due to circumstances out of our control when buying the house we had to change our mortgage provider and product, and we decided to increase our deposit by £11,000. Can this money be counted towards achieving our MFW target?

Re-mortgage now complete. New mortgage balance is now £240,000 so effectively a £3856.00 OP for July.

OH is now totally onboard to be MF and we are planning a radical repayment schedule with an aim to be MF by August 2017.

We can OP 10% this coming 12 months so that is our 1st target, £2000 a month:eek: Maybe i'll need to start my own diary.

Yipee, the bank's are making £679.00 less a month out of us than they were before. Woo hoo!
