Better than going up boultdj! I think the first week post Yule/New Year is always the worst as you are still getting over the different eating habits :o

Agree with this, usually I can get back into my plan quite easily, but yesterday definitely feeling the carb withdrawal thing, keep reminding myself this is a phase to get through over the next couple of days, then things will get easier!

Well done boultdj. I would call that a great result!

OK, have finally worked up the courage to weigh in tomorrow morning... will keep you all posted.

Christmas was a bit of an eating session so I am dreading it. But I have a holiday coming up in two months' time so I am super determined to lose weight for it - a stone would be great. This is the year I take control of my weight, I am fed up of these excess pounds!!!!

I have developed a new technique to try to beat chocolate cravings. I ate a chocolate biscuit yesterday evening and asked myself how much pleasure I felt (out of 10) before, during and straight after. Then, one hour later, I asked myself the same question.

    Before - 6/10
    During - 8/10
    Straight after - 8/10
One hour later - minus 5/10

The negative number was a real kick up the bum! I realised how badly I was treating my poor body, and also that I need to defer one temporary pleasure (the chocolate biscuit) for a much greater and longer-lasting pleasure (looking and feeling good). I haven't touched anything since apart from my breakfast today (2 boiled eggs and a jasmine tea). I'm feeling positive!!! :)

I am also starting a food diary and will record my pleasure levels at different times of the day as well. I hope this works and it might help someone else too. :)

Have a good day all xoxo

Well it was one week of diet done yesterday and I weighed in and I was the same :rotfl:, it looks as though my thyroid isn't as sorted as I thought BUT I am sticking with it and hope for a better result on Sunday next week!

Either which way I am actually enjoying eating 1940's style :D
