All I can say is
" Oh Dear!"
Got a weigh-in appointment next Thursday, so tonight will be finishing the other half of last night's Indian takeaway, then a concerted effort needs to be made on the food and exercise front , to get back to what I was just before Christmas for next week's weigh-in to show STS!!0 -
Just googled the Ration Book Diet, Dragon. Thought this image from it would be good for this thread

Hi Dragon! Although I was planning to start the waist reducing today unfortunately we have weather warnings here again so not gonna be able to get to the supermarket and stock up on GOOD food
can't even bare to put myself on the scales knowing that there's not much chance of it getting better while I am still living on the Christmas rations  GOTTA start VERY soon though so hopefully be back with my weigh in and lots of lovely healthy foods! Hope you're all doing well

Well I started the Ration Book diet today (as did Dr Dragon) which means LOADS of carbs/veggies and limited protein (sort of an anti Atkins Diet :rotfl:), so fat today (okay I got up at lunch time
) I have had an ounce of cheddar (grated), two tomatoes and 4 slices of Burgen seed bread, oh and a cuppa (can't do with out my tea! luckily we use loose tea and we have discovered that I drink a rations worth a week :rotfl:).
I weighed in at the nurse on Friday and I was the same weight as the previous two times so it looks as through the thyroxine is started to work :T, so I am hoping that this time I can actually succeed!
Onward and downwards to all of us and here's to a fantastic 2011

Well, I was expecting the worst and I got it today. 9lbs on in 3 weeks :eek:. I think a lot of that must be water though as I had previously been sticking to a fairly (not completely though) healthy lowish carb and no alcohol regime for sometime and at Xmas just totally blew it with constant snacking and lots of carbs, wine and no exercise, lots of slothing. Oh dear!
Most of the Xmas goodies are gone from the cupboard now and all remaining chocolate has been dispatched to a drawer in DD's room and remaining alcohol stashed out of sight in the back of the cupboard in the spare room. Out of sight, out of mind does help me!
On track with a vengence today and trying to drink lots and lots of water to flush out my system! Getting back to my exercise classes this week too. Aiming at 3 a week.
Great motivation though as going on hols on 20th Jan and I know I can achieve a visible improvement by then, if I REALLY TRY!
Who else has started then?0 -
OUCH!! to the gain Bronnie! I have started back on the healthy eating (Ration Book diet) on day 2 and loving it!! No good for you as it is high carb (lots of bread and potatoes) but it seems to suit me - hmm need to get Dr Dragon to measure me as I think not only seeing the scales change (which they had better flipping well start doing :rotfl:) but seeing my clothes getting loser and getting back into my trousers rather than being in yoga pants all the time will be a good boost for me

Better than going up boultdj! I think the first week post Yule/New Year is always the worst as you are still getting over the different eating habits
