No that was miles away from where we were. That was the only place in Cardiff we felt safe in and that includes my boyfriend who lives in the east end of London!!

No I won 3 nights at the Marriott hotel in a competition. I enquired about the Cardiff backpackers incase we wanted to stay longer than 3 nights but we didn't as we couldnt wait to get out of there.

  • I am English and I now live near Cardiff and I see and hear very little anti English racism. just things that are meant to be humerous.
I do not know what part of England you live in but Cardiff is much nicer cleaner and safer than Manchester where I am originally from.
As regards to what was in Cardiff before the millenium stadium and doctor who? are you fit to judge that after one weekend here?

on topic I would definatly say the forte for a day spa.
phone them up say its a special occasion and HAGGLE as very will usually give a special deal if coaxed nicely enough.

The Marriott we stayed in was next to the Hilton. Yes we did go to the bay. It was OK as long as you intend to eat out. Nothing much else to do there. Then we got a boat back up the river to the city centre and saw all the rubbish piled up the sides of the river and someone taking drugs under a bridge. How romantic.

The whole point about not being able to make a decision about what a place is really like in one weekend is stupid. A place which wants to be a tourist attraction should grab the attention their visitors in one weekend so much they want to stay longer and come back. Not be itching to get out of the place and be made to feel alienated. It's like they think they have their own little world there that no one can touch with their own little language (which I heard no one using) but they don't really.
