Id like to join this challenge too if I can
I joined the Sealed Pot Challenge too to help with my savings
Looking to move out this year or next - only renting to need to still save up what I can
Im 24 (need my own space now) but only work 16 hours a week due to bad arthritis which make it hard to do more in current job
Got a few goals for this year to help me save and move on!
This year im going to try to make more money doing web design - Did this at uni but havent done much with it since graduating, so need to learn more first as theres so much Im not confident with, set up a portfolio and try some freelance work
Also look for a better job - work in retail at the moment so would like some other office/web job instead (Once ive learnt more and improved skills)
Also owed £1k from a relative (all my savings really) so once thats paid back, going to sort my accounts out to keep better total of my savings plus my ebaying too which is going OK at the moment
Its going to take a long time, havent really been motivated to do much over the past yr so hoping to post here more for a big push to get better and look to the future!

Hi,
I keep some of mine in an ISA and also have a regular saver account which I put £150 a month in to, then have my jar for any shrapnel thats lying about the house0 -
I have decided to count any savings we make, every single penny is accounted for in monthly DDs and wedding savings, so any savings made whatsoever on DDs is making money in my eyes!
Changed cars so saving £5 a month on car insurance. Cancelling an £8 a month football lottery - have been a bit superstitious about this with it being a lottery, I am sure our numbers will come up as soon as we cancel! But won hardly anything in a year so £8 a month would be better "invested" as we go along with National Lottery, scratchcards, bets etc. For now, will try to save it!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Have also put 20 items on ebay for 7 days. Have dabbled in ebay in the past but was great to have good clearout. Even if 99p each that is probably about £15 profit. 3 items bid on so far!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

I forgot! After switching current accounts I had £70 left in the old one, straight in the pot with you!
Have a dilemma. I won a gold sovereign in 1994, limited edition 22k gold.......had a look and they are worth £250-£300. Do I sell it or save it as an heirloom!?? :eek:0 -
I may not be the best person to answer, as have lost all sentiment whatsoever in our wedding saving quest!!! We resorted to eyeing up what is under the Xmas tree last night when ebaying then stopped ourselves!
But my advice would be, unless it is a family heirloom/sentimental due to who gave me it etc (you say you won it) I would sell, sell, sell. I am sure whoever you would plan to leave it to would prefer you have the benefit of the windfall now!! IMO anywayDebt Free Wannabe by 1 January 2016

Morning everyone, sounds like everybody is well on the way to that 11k!
Have thought out my gameplan carefully and it's going to take alot more than selling unwanted items on Ebay and surveys to reach that total but completely do-able.
I think my I am going to try the snowball effect method of double your money each month, which means I am doing extremely well now lol
I have quite a bit to ebay but only managed to list 6 items last night, the whole process takes ages doesn't itComping wishlist for 2017
