    Hi All

Gosh I can't believe how quickly this thread is moving! I just wanted to post a big thank you for Betmunch's MB website which has managed to get OH MBing off the ground again.

Have also posted 2 old broken phones off today only worth £4.00 plus £1.50 referral but still better than just chucking them;)

Last day off before going back to work tomorrow so would like to look for more items to list on ebay.

Also not counting the savings but joining this and looking at the frugal living thread meant I didn't have massive spend for New Years Eve Party, even used left over carrots to make home made carrot soup definatly a big step forward for this girl:rotfl:

Well iv got £450 to reinvest to try and make more! I think il "play it safe" with a UK wholesaler...iv used dh gate before but quality is not of the highest standard. Sold on stuff to mates and make a bit of money but not worth it..selling to friends is also dodgy incase of a fall out.

So Uk wholesaler/something to invest in....dont want to sell on ebay either btw!! Sell locally or on different sites. Hate ebay and the fees etc soo annoying!
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Went round to my mothers today for lovely home cooked sunday roast and catch up after new year. On the way up I took the only savings I am counting for this year with me, my copper jar from November and December last year totalling £10.46 which is what I expected.

Other than that I entered a few competitions, booked a mystery shop or two for next week and completed about 8 reviews.

So happy with the total so far and roll on the next few days I say!

    Night Night All

Hi all! Read some brill ideas from this thread! I already save as much as possible and £11K is just too far away right now :( I would like to try for £1100 though, what do you think? I'll increase is as I feel right?! Nothing noteworthy yet though but im planning on some ground work of some surveys and I'm not too sure whatelse but hey I'll get there!

Top tip for tomorrow, fill your cars with petrol to avoid the VAT and tax hike on tuesday! (I use a bjillion litres of petrol so little savings on this is good for me!)

PS my end goal is to get together a massive house deposit! Also, I am going to count things like grocery savings (anything I spend less than the £50 a month budget), surveys, when I use boots points (not when I get them), savings on petrol (not making the trips etc) and things like missing a starbucks etc, ebay (but I dont really get into this, I find they take waaay too much), reviews.... Is anyone still on any review sites? I used to dooyoo and crosspost to ciao but the new tiered points system has really demotivated me. Got about 12,000 on there though so worth getting up to the £50 but...

    Hi

I'm sure it was fonebanker but I used a link on here to compare and find out who would pay most. If you go to the link to this weeks email and scroll right down its under the "Big and easy ways to save section" I then used the cash back sites maximiser. To be honest my phones were so old I didn't expect to get a penny so its certainly worth a shot.

If you can't find them just give me a shout

    Goodluck

The bad thing about that budget is it looks like im not doing well if i overpay my debts. For example iv put down the min payment in budget x 2 so i can over pay but if i make a monster payment then it looks very much in the red. I suppose its ok as its for my eyes only...

Cant wait to hit my mini goal of £1,000!

    Hi guys/gals,

thought i would join in on this challenge if thats ok.

I did start last years, but with moving out and doing work in the new house, the challenge got put to one side, and only managed to to scrape around £350 profit, on top of my original £100 investment.

But reading this has got me excited again, and this time I plan on staying the course.

I have put 11 items on Ebay today, all with 99p starts, but there are a couple of bids already. Also I have used £100 from last years challenge as a bit of start up cash, and have spent £83.71 of this on items in Sainsburys sale, so I can make a small profit on Ebay. (also got some welcome nectar points and quidco cashback).

I think the main thing I want to improve this time round is the community part of the challenge (as you can see from my number of posts lol)

One last thing, how do I create a sig, to display my total?

    Oh and goodluck everyone!!!
