  • Mumof2 dont ever apologise for letting of steam and it was not a 'me' post - there is a huge difference between expressing your worries and plans as you have and someone who is moaning for no good reason! huge (((hugs))) pet - now that you have made the decision about the classes maybe that will relieve some of the stress I hope - get started on your cv so that you have a good comprehensive impressive one ready - you will need to start looking in the summer or maybe earlier. Keep talking to DH about the classes and your plans and I am sure he will come round to your way of thinking. Dont let things build up that you get too depressed again - you have seen the signs so try to nip it in the bud now and turn it around - are you ready for Christmas and are you looking forward to it?

I think given the level of reliability giving her emergency bus fare was vital .. glad she can get herself home safely too.. was she standing long or did she have the good sense to get the bus soon after school ended? She does sound like a very sensible young lady indeed, I'm not sure my 11 y/o would have sense enough to get himself home without being told to, he'd probably be standing by the school gates come Monday in the same circumstance.

DW on.. but I think running it through a clean cycle may have blocked it.. again.. then I get moaned at by the repair dude for not cleaning it!

She says she had called him to check where she should meet when he wasn't there waiting for her. He then texted back 'a bit later' saying 'see you at 5'. Cue one miffed kid texting she wasn't waiting there until then, she was going home. She promptly went to the supermarket with her friends, bought chocolate and stomped in at 5.10. He arrived at 5.58.

    %*($*(£$*($*%(£$*($£*($£*(@$£)!_@!!!

And then he tries to give a lecture about possible causes of a cold radiator in DD's room! It's not even f
cold! She just had too much cpra in front of the damn thing and she keeps on kicking her quilt off at night!!!!!!!!!!

    ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Toots, you're so lovely. DH is being really quiet and a bit grumpy - he knows I mean it that I'm quitting and that he can't talk me around this time.

I am not completely ready for Christmas but am looking forward to it. I'm determined this time to think of the real meaning of Christmas and not charging around the shops panicking because I can't find the right presents!!

Going to sit down with DH now, do some knitting and relax.

That is plain daft - they need as much as possible cleared now it is thawing before it all freezes up again.
I am cream crackered, but I have cleared my path and driveway so I can get the car on the road tomorrow :T

I couldn't agree more. I got the shock of my life when I realised they had put some grit down. I walked into town to meet OH for a coffee when he finished school thinking all the paths would have been cleared like the main ones here as I walk the bus route, I may as well have been walking on an ice rink! I told OH which roads/estates had been done and he hit the nail on the head. They have started clearing the roads and gritting after on some of the private estates and the main road to the motorway. We live on an old council estate, many houses like ours are privately owned but there are many that aren't, we still pay council tax but obviously aren't entitled to clear roads and pavements!

OH said he is glad I didn't do any cleaning earlier, he will help me tomorrow to get everywhere straight and should only take an hour or so. I really am exhausted.

Good news is we have been stood down from snow clearing duties so I can get on with Christmas shopping on Sunday to get the last couple of bits.

Anyway, sorry for going on a bit, we have decluttered a lovely chinese in a local restaurant and are going to declutter copious amounts of tea and biscuits once strictly starts, 3 nights in a row :j
