Slight change of plan...KH didn't turn up at school, so she's on her way back here now
I suppose he will collect her when he can be bothered....I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Severe case of CBA here after a really useless day shopping. Dinner for kids defrosting but I can't decide what I want of what we've got.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
FW progression.. I hope she is not too upset

I agree totally. She's been standing on an unlit path by the woods on the downs waiting for him since school finished, as he couldn't handle the concept of 'be at the end of x road at quarter to four'.
She's been trying to angle a way to not have to go to his at Christmas for any longer than absolutely possible all week.
Her latest comment was that a 30cm pot plant doesn't count as a Christmas tree and one slice of dry turkey doesn't count as dinner. Together with describing FW & Ms FW as 'a pair of bah humbugs', Ms FW's awful son as 'vile' and, worst of all, that she prefers to spend her time with people that smile at her instead of ignoring her while they shout at each other about Ms FW's son.
First time I've ever been described as smiley - I'm supposed to be the miserable old moo who says no and grumbles about money all the time.
Just as well I had given her Monday morning's bus fare early, wasn't it? Otherwise she would have been stranded.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

I think given the level of reliability giving her emergency bus fare was vital .. glad she can get herself home safely too.. was she standing long or did she have the good sense to get the bus soon after school ended? She does sound like a very sensible young lady indeed, I'm not sure my 11 y/o would have sense enough to get himself home without being told to, he'd probably be standing by the school gates come Monday in the same circumstance.
DW on.. but I think running it through a clean cycle may have blocked it.. again.. then I get moaned at by the repair dude for not cleaning it!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Good evening  DD and I have had a successful day shopping (and she spent the afternoon in college finishing her CAD project). We had coffee and eclairs in Patisserie Valerie, which put me in mind of a certain Flyperson :kisses3:
DH has spent the day sorting out various bits on the house, and discovered that a snow slide from our roof has dislodged some guttering  Luckily we have a good friend who's a roofer, so he'll be over tomorrow to sort it :T
Going to do a half-hour-bimble then settle down with a glass of red, a log fire, my knitting and my HM chilli :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Phew - that's another week done.
Had a fun hour with DS2 at his school's Christmas fair and read a couple of pages of fred since coming home. Possible plans for tonight:
kitchen clear-up (DH had a go at the bathroom on Thu and I can't decide on a smilie, so here goes: :j:A:eek::T)
quick run to Mr A's for beer offer and to get rid of plastic rubbish
do tea (DH won mixed grill, so that's sorted)
work work
I'm really tired now, but will see what I can get done.
Have a good weekend, everyone. x0 -
