Afternoon all
I've done a couple of loads of washing and spread it round, thoroughly dusted and polished the living room and computer desk and vacuumed right through downstairs. Finally this morning I saw a robin on our new bird table but nothing else yet (and the robin soon went), it's a start though.
Much milder out, I took myself for a little walk. Since my dog went I haven't been out for a walk. That was good while it was icy but I did enjoy some fresh air this morning.0 -
Half my bedroom has been bottomed out including under the bed (it's taken me two hours!). The other half will have to wait until I've refuelled.
Off to make celery soup....I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hello flying ppls
All a bit messy here today. Have made a start on preparing for my guest and done a sainsbugs shop and got some more kindling for the fire. Made the mistake of buying a tin of quality street and I have just opened them to give them a bit of testing.. only had three so far and put the lid back on. Wonder how many will be left when he gets here later.
Have made me a list to work through so am going to follow that;
Pre Guest Overhaul…
Bathroom - clean bath, sink and loo
Stock up on sticks and coal
Hoover through house
Write on his card and finish his pressie (cake)
[STRIKE]Get food for Saturday night[/STRIKE]
Binbag Dance
Tidy through all rooms
Put spare towels out
[STRIKE]BUY MILK[/STRIKE]
Sort out bag of crocheted hearts for guests friends
Put tree up - maybe possibly
Hmm really struggling tbh feel like curling up and not bothering but that isnt very good when you have company. I am going to finish up my coffee and find a good cd to put on to get me moving...

Have been doing bits and crossing off my list on another page but struggling a bit today.
I've decided to stop teaching my baby signing classes - I simply don't enjoy it. I'll honour the courses people have booked but not running any more courses. There's just no interest down here and it's so depressing sat there with 3 mums in front of me; the other franchisees are Oxford way and classes are filling up in the blink of an eye.
DH not happy; he thinks I'm quitting too soon but I was a fool to think I could do it. I'm not an extrovert, outgoing person who can sing in tune!! Got to let the franchise owner know soon. I told her it was unlikely I'd be renewing my contract in July and since then she's hardly responding to my emails/messages at all - hardly supportive. Oh, and my mentor has given up too.
So now DH thinks I'll be sat at home doing nothing all day - which I won't. Got lots planned. When DS goes to school in September I'll start looking for a part time, term time job (if there is such a thing).
Sorry for me post; just feeling blue. My anxiety problem is coming back too cos I've been stressed and I'm a bit of a state really:(.

We are on 2 hour standby for snow clearing today, although the army are putting pressure on Edinburgh council to either tell us what needs doing or stand us down as it is a waste of time at the mo. Went into work to sort out the flood which seems to have fixed itself for now but still no one has been out to look at it. We have to be within an hour of work due to standby so some of us figured we may as well make ourselves useful while we were there and have cleared some good walking paths around our building as it was like sheet ice this morning. Our council seem to be stepping up their game today although they do seem to be concentrating on the roads they have already cleared and then a couple of side roads. I would love to say they are doing ours but I can't see any flying pigs!
I am having a well earned sit until 1.30ish when I need to start flying.
