Have been doing bits and crossing off my list on another page but struggling a bit today.

I've decided to stop teaching my baby signing classes - I simply don't enjoy it. I'll honour the courses people have booked but not running any more courses. There's just no interest down here and it's so depressing sat there with 3 mums in front of me; the other franchisees are Oxford way and classes are filling up in the blink of an eye.

DH not happy; he thinks I'm quitting too soon but I was a fool to think I could do it. I'm not an extrovert, outgoing person who can sing in tune!! Got to let the franchise owner know soon. I told her it was unlikely I'd be renewing my contract in July and since then she's hardly responding to my emails/messages at all - hardly supportive. Oh, and my mentor has given up too :(.

So now DH thinks I'll be sat at home doing nothing all day - which I won't. Got lots planned. When DS goes to school in September I'll start looking for a part time, term time job (if there is such a thing).

Sorry for me post; just feeling blue. My anxiety problem is coming back too cos I've been stressed and I'm a bit of a state really :(:(.

Aww, I don't think it's you at fault here - times are hard and the last thing a lot of new parents can justify is baby signing classes if they aren't even sure if their direct debits are going to be honoured. I wouldn't be surprised if baby massage, toddler tumbling classes and private art clubs are also experiencing extreme problems. The Oxford classes will probably be catering for very high earners, or extremely deprived areas that benefit from a very large amount of additional funding.

KH is picking DD up straight from school - it's about the second time EVER. So I am lost for something to do, having been up at 4 to find out exactly what the splat was having a fit over this time. A fox in the garden, necessitating a scramble onto the sink and then the windowsill via all my utensil pots, two spider plants and a tray of lettuces. Cat didn't believe me when I told him that I would feed him to the fox if he repeats this every night/morning.

They all then decided that, as I was up, I needed shouting at in their loudest possible voices to convince me that it was breakfast time in catworld. I explained it wasn't, so the three little darling proceeded to try and trip me up going back upstairs with tea.

Get back to bed, about to lay back down. The binmen pulled up.

so I've been up for quite a while.

Been to hospital for blood test. Not a nice one, really, as it might tell me whether I ever stand a chance of having any more children. Which will be cpra if I can't, as I'll have to become the mad woman with animals and a house that smells of wee if I haven't got small humans to take my maternal instincts out on.

Then went back home via shops. No clothes I'd be prepared to pay good money for - and has nobody heard that some of us actually prefer low heeled boots with some grip on them?

But got DD her drum lesson book + discount for mentioning the teacher's name (rah!)

And collected a parcel from the post office. To get home to find that the same guy who Parcelforced yesterday's offering to the PO had just chucked today's parcel by the front door whilst I was at the PO.

Maybe I'll see if I could drag the Bloke out to find some live music tonight. Bet he says no though. Which then activates plan b - 24 hour supermarket Christmas shopping during the night. Not because I particularly want to go, but because it'll make him suffer [/evil grin/]

I have decided I am on strike. I am exhausted from the 2 hour snow shovelling this morning so am having at least half an hour to myself. The house is tidy and I could dust and vacuum tomorrow morning anyway. Our guests are arriving at 5 so I have got plenty of time. Maybe in 30 mins I may change my mind, we shall see

We are on 2 hour standby for snow clearing today, although the army are putting pressure on Edinburgh council to either tell us what needs doing or stand us down as it is a waste of time at the mo. Our council seem to be stepping up their game today although they do seem to be concentrating on the roads they have already cleared and then a couple of side roads. I would love to say they are doing ours but I can't see any flying pigs!

I am having a well earned sit until 1.30ish when I need to start flying.

That is plain daft - they need as much as possible cleared now it is thawing before it all freezes up again.
I am cream crackered, but I have cleared my path and driveway so I can get the car on the road tomorrow :T

...didn't go out for lunch. Had a phone call this morning to say DH was at A&E. He had fallen off his bike before he went to work but we thought he was ok. He came over all peculiar at work so they took him to the hosp. He has whiplash and is feeling sick. He'll survive.

Haven't done half of what I intended so off I go again now......:D
