I have had a crazy week this week. It has had it's up and downs.
At the start of the month I had decided that I would not make any overpayments due to birthdays and weddings.
I have had a week of spending.
I went to go a buy the kids suits and spent £84 in BHS and £39 in M&S.
I then wanted to go to Matalan to buy these small icepacks my mom told me about, which are perfect for the kids lunch boxes. These were reduced from £3 each to £1.50 so I bought 3 packs. I just happened to look at the bed clothes for which were on sale. They were reduced from £20-£25 to £7 (for double) I spent £18.50.
I went back to Matalan the next day and brought 4 more sets which came upto £28. These would have cost £95 if brought at the normal price. I really did need and they are really nice.
The spending didn't stop there. I then went to Ikea £36.59 I did get a few bargins in there too.
Total spen £206.09  I really didn't want to add this up.
I am no longer go to the wedding on Wednesday which is in London. I don't really want to go into now as I was really looking forward to it. So today I have taken back both suits and have got a refund of £109. Not going to the wedding will save me a lot of money now so I am over it.
Spends for this week is £97.09 which is great because I have saved over £150 on the bargains I got.
I have also completely cleaned mhy kitchen. I have managed to clear out 3 black bin bags of rubbish so I have no junk in any of the kitchen cupboards anymore. It all looks nice and tidy. It's just a shame about the rest of the house. I will tackle another room next week.
Must go now, going to babysit for a friend. xxSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Debt update 3/8/11
Barclaycard 1 £3180.58
Barlay card 2 £5644.27
Egg £5894.14
Total debt £14718.99
Only £250 paid of since the end of July, but I am now putting op into my offset mortgage account. This will help reduce my mortgage interest and when I have enough I will pay off Barlaycard 1. I was going to start paying off my Egg card but have changed my mind now:o
Savings account total £450.43.
I am hoping to put another £500 in at the end of this month. I will also need to try and earn more so I can clear B'card 1 by December and start 2012 with only 2 debtors.
Had a NSD yesterday. I have promised the kids we would go out today so I hope I don't spend too much. I have about £45 in my purse and that needs to last for the rest of the week.
Also have £293.74 in the bank to last until payday on 31st August. This will need to cover, petrol, food, and the kids school shoes.
I really need to work out how many paydays I have left to be debt free.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

This month will also be an expensive month as my car tax is due. This will be £210
I am sure that my BT line rental is due either this month or next. I paid a year in advance and would like to do it again as this has really helped. This might be £130 - £140.
I decided to sell my free work shares to cover this cost, othewise it will put me back another month. I was going to keep this as an emergency saving, but the shares price has just risen slightly for the first time in about a year. I don't want to risk it going down again and getting less money. Hopefully, this will cover the full cost of these.
If anything drastic happens I will have to use the money in my savings account which is more than what my shares are currently worth.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Thanks Chev. I was a little upset at first about not going to the wedding but when I took the clothes back I soon cheered up
I would love to get down to 10k but I know this would be really hard. This would be the best Christmas ever.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I was starting to have a bad day yesterday and was going to have a moan, but as the day went on things got better. I was starting to get fed up of down days.
Yesterdays spends £9.91 in Morrisons.
Today's spends £3.50 Tesco, £18 Groupon deal.
Yesterday I had arranged for us to go ice skating with a friend and her kids. I then realised I had about £55 in my purse. Logged on to my emails and received an email from Groupon with a special offer on for the ice rink we are going to. So I have saved £16.50 on the day:D That was so lucky, things like that don't normally happen to me. I just hope it gets honoured and we can get in tomorrow.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I collected all my loose change which I have been saving up and have banked £10 which has now gone to my saving pot.
Finally had an email from AAT to say that my assignment has been passed. I have just had to fill out an exit questionnaire via email. I normally delay things like this but I have completed it and emailed it back.
I am so glad I have passed this assignment at last, it has taken me about 2 years to even start it.
I am so glad now I have sold my shares. They have gone down now again and things do not look as though they will get better any time soon.
I was starting to worry about my Egg mortgage as it has been sold to Yorkshire Building Society. I had a look at their rates and was horrified. I really hope that my current tracker rate does not get put up to theirs. I would end up paying over £1200 more a year. I don't want to worry about it too much right now but it is in the back of my mind and I really now want to get rid of this debt more than ever.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Hi,
Just wanted to say what an inspiration your blog is!!!
I am in a slightly different position, i declared bankruptcy in 2007 through circumstances beyond my control (i.e ex husband left, leaving mortgage/debts to me and then disappeared of the face of the earth!)
Anyway i am now i a fortuante position that i have a really well paid job, my credit file is as squeaky clean as can be whist the bankruptcy is still there. However i want to look to get a mortgage in April 2013 (just after my bankruptcy has dropped off) and need to save, along with my partner, a 25% deposit. I alone need to save in the region of £25k which is achieveable on my wage but i just couldn't see how i could 'cut down' on thing's i needed/wanted (to be fair mainly wanted) . However reading your blog has made me realise some of the rubbish i currently spend my money on and that i could save soooo much by being planning and maybe having to curb my 'wants' for 18 months - but the end result will be worth it! Just as your end result of being Debt free will be!!:j
Wishing you the best of luck!April 14 Deposit Target: [STRIKE]£31,660[/STRIKE] £35038/67,620 -[STRIKE] 46.82%[/STRIKE] 51.81% (£15582 to save + £17k from car sale)
2014 - Buy (hopefully) the 'Forever' Home :T
2024 - Be MF

Thanks for your kind works janineh1982.
It must have been difficult for you back then. I would love to be in the position you are in now and not having to worry about debts. I would love to start saving. If I didn't have the issues I had back then I would have gone bankrupt back in 2006.
Good luck on saving for your deposit. Anything is possible, 18 months can go so quickly, do all you can now. You will feel great when you move into your new home after saving your big deposit.
I am starting to feel really excited for you already. Does that seem crazy? (I have no idea what has just happen....)
Good luck;)Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

Yet again I was coming on here to have another moan, but I have now snapped out of it since reading janineh1982 post.
Had a great day yesterday Ten pin bowling and ice skating with the kids. I managed to fall over at the end and my arm is still hurting like crazy.
Just had a disagreement with the ex. He upsets me so much sometimes. I don't want to say anything else about it because now I feel he just waste my time and I no longer want to give him any more of my brain space.;)
So I am off to work now and I will buy a bar of chocolate on the way and I am going to love it because chocolate makes me happy:EasterBun
Really need to think about what I am doing with the rest of my life now. Time is passing me by so quickly I don't want to have any regrets when I am old and unable to do the things I really want to do.
This should be interesting.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)
