Just having a quick 30 mins to myself. Kids have gone to football, so it is nice and peaceful right now.
The internet was playing up earlier so I couln't post my to do list for today.
All I have done today is
    Cut the grass
Been to pizza hut (spent £21)
Been to the library with the kids (free activity)
Brought DS1 birthday present. He will be 10 on Tuesday. Spent (£29.99 on an xbox game)
I made the call about my project. I should get it back in 2 weeks.

Looking at it now I have spent £50.99 and I haven't even done any food shopping yet . I am going to mums later so she said she will pay me for some work I did for her on Saturday, and I will be working again for her tomorrow. I am hoping this will cover todays spend.

Almost forgot. I have paid my sister back another £500 today. I now only owe her £700.

I have been thing of a target for me to work to and my first one is to get my debt to £15,000 by the end of this month.
So, I have 30 days to clear £993.76:eek: Is it possible? who knows but I will give it my best shot. I remember years ago dreaming that my debt would be £15k I never thought I could get there.

OMG I think I am going to cry tears of joy if this really does happen to me.

  • I have got the day off work today, yeah:j
I have still being debt busting and so far have saved £547 in my savings account ready to make a payment at the end of the month. Need just over £400 now to hit my target.

June is a busy month for present buying. DS1 birthday was last week Tuesday. There was a game he really wanted which cost £30. His dad bought him a bike and a helmet for Go-karting. It is the first year he has only had 3 presents from us and he was still very happy with what he got. He has also got lots of money from the rest of the family which he is saving for the summer holidays.

Fathers day on Sunday, my sisters birthday next Monday. Then my dads birthday on the 26th June. Then in July I have a wedding in London to go to and 2 other birthdays to buy for. I have to buy 7 gifts over the next 2 months. I am not sure how I can do this and debt bust at the same time, but I will try.

2 jobs off the list so far. Have done ds2 reading book wo will do his spellings at swimming club tonight.
Still need ds1 to do his homework.

I called to cancel it a few weeks ago and the only offer was to give me one less package and pay £5 more. Today I had a call from Sky.
The lady offered me the same package I am on now for the same price. I have 5 sky packages and Sky movies 1 for £15.25. I can cancel at anytime and the price is fixed for 12 months again.
I am very happy to keep it as this is now the only luxury we have.

My day then came down with a bump, when I was trying to keep positive. I will have to come back later to let it all out as I feel like crying now. Just off to take the kids to swimming club now. Hoping I can cheer myself up in the meantime.

Oh no. I don't know what to do now.

For the last few weeks my laptop has been playing up. I now have to keep it plugged into the power supply at all times. Plus it is very slow. Anyway, I am used to it now and just make do.

I have being saying to myself I really need a new laptop, but because I am debt busting I only think about it.

This morning I received a call from T-mobile to say they had an offer on for T-mobile customers. Before he said anything else I thought I was not going to be interested. Then he said

There is an offer for the Ipad 1 for £80 up front costand £25 per a month for 24 months. I did say that I normally never do anything for 24 months anymore and this is really just like having credit.

It sounded like a very attractive offer, and then he was saying all these nice things to me and I thought I really need something but should I just get a laptop which would be cheaper in the long run or do I join in with the crazy ipad thing:o

I have just said yes to keeping my sky which will be £15.25 a month and now this will be another £25 a month for 2 years.

Please can someone give me any reason why I should have it or send it back. It is due to arrive on Monday and when it comes I intend to not open it until I am sure I will keep it.

My moneysaving head has gone awol and my body feels like jelly:eek:

I can't remember the last time I bought myself something like this and I was planning on July being my month off from moneysaving and just enjoying time over the holiday with the kids. I am not sure if I can do both.

Can anyone help me? Before I do something I regret 2 months later.

    Thank you, thank you.

Just read the last bit of my post and it sound like I am trying to make a choice between buying an ipad and spending time with the kids. This came out all wrong.:o

I will still spend more time with the kids with or without the ipad.
I am not sure what I am trying to say. I can't think straight:(

Help I need a tablet or something to calm me down:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

  • Panic over. I will not be getting a new Ipad now. Had time to think about it and I now want to stay on this path and throw as much money into paying off my debts. So when it arrives on Monday it will be going straight back unopened.

I remembered to ask myself some very important questions.
    Do I want it: Yes
Do I need it : No
Can I live without it: Yes
My mse head is now back on safely:T

    Final month debt update

    Barclaycard 1 £3213.42
    Barclaycard 2 £5757.57
    Egg £5998.00
    Total debt £14968.99

I have hit my debt target for this month. I am now under £15k :T:T

I can't believe I have repaid £1525.63 for this month.

July/August will be a busy spend month for me so I have decided to not make any overpayments in July.

I now only have 3 debtors to deal with and now that Egg have sold their credit cards my only debtor is now Barclays.

My next 6 month target is to get down to £10K. I am not sure if I can do this but I will try and get to it as close as possible.
I have tried to think hard about which card to tackle first as all of them are 0%. So, based on how easy it is to pay I will start with the Egg card. I still have internet access and can make repayments via their website with a min of £1 payments.

So here is to the next 6 months of debt busting:beer:
