I have a barclaycard visa on a 0% deal and I make weekly payments on top of the monthly ones. Thiss hasn't affected the interest rate- the only thing to watch is that they do knock the payments off the following months minimum so is will be less. Something to watch if you have a direct debit set up with them. Hope that helps.MFW 2024 £27500/7500 Mortgage £129,500 Jan 22 Final payment June 38 Now £68489.08 FP May 36 Emergency Fund £20,000 100% Added to ISA 24 £8,060 Save 12k in 24 #31 £20,034.76/20,000 Debt Free 31.07.140

Thanks FlacosFloozie. I am currently on a dmp with payplan. They were not charging me any interest for over 6 years, but last year reviewed my account and now charge me a small amount of interest. I have decided to start making extra payments now and will see what happens.Smile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I had a mystery shopping job booked for today and have decided to cancel it. This would cost me money to do it just wasn't worth it.
2nd load of washing in the wm now.
I still need to
Finish off the ironing
Go out and vote
Pick a few things up from the shops
Take dd1 to his friends b'day party.

I had to put £20 of petrol in the car yesterday. This will have to be from next weeks budget. £20 of petrol is no longer lasting a week which is going to mess my budget up.
I had to buy a few this in Morrison so I ended up spending £12.31 which will also need to be taken from next weeks shopping budget.
£10 birthday gift given to DS2 friend.
Next weeks budget is not looking very good. oops:DSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)

I just don't knowwhat has happened to me this year. I am finding it very hard to do any serious debt busting.
I was feeling really depressed for the last few months about this whole debt thing. I don't know whybut there always seems to be a reason why I can't over pay anything.
So, this week Idecided that I didn't want to feel this way anymore and I am taking thepressure off completely.- I will no longer try to make any overpayments.
- I will not make any to do list, unless it is a shopping list.
- I will no longer stress about having debt.
- Save an emergency fund.
- Any extra money for debt repayments will also be saved and not paid off the card straight away.
- I will and have removed my credit card statement from the wall as a reminder to overpay.
- I will try to laugh more and enjoy my family and life.

Taking the pressure off sounds like the right thing to do if it's all getting a bit much.
Good luck and hope you feel a bit better soon!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Just made an extra payment of £34.39 to B'card seeing the total written down on here made me want the next statement to be under £4k so I have made an extra payment which will also cover the estimated interest of £12.49.
Next months balance should be approx £3993.89:D
I feel happier now but I now have to be a bit more creative with Christmas presents.:oSmile loan - £2821.98 / £0:)
