I am so angry. We have had a different postman this week.

Wednessay - partner home all day as works at home, went out later in the day and there is a parcel in the snow getting covered in snow. Thought it was strange but maybe an accident. Luckily an item that wouldn't be damaged by the snow.

Today - I'm working from home, saw the postman come, collected the post, even got the CD through the post we ordered. Just popped out and there is another parcel again left outside in the snow on the front lawn. He even saw me in, made no effort to ring the bell. This item would have been damaged by the snow if it was out there much longer or if it started snowing.

I can't believe he just leaves them outside I was about to order some more Christmas present but on the likelyhood they will be damaged or stolen i wont bother.

Unitl yesterday lunchtime, we hadn't even had any post for a week, and we still haven't got all of it!

Even when everyone else was walking and driving about, our postman couldn't manage to put letters through doors, although other posties were managing ok locally.

I can't help thinking that the postal service can't get any worse when it is privatised, as it's so appalling now. :(

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

well why are you moaning about not getting post for a week then?
one of the things already touted is the removal of the requirement to perform daily deliveries

A big thankyou goes to my postie today, a Christmas card with full name and street only (no house number) came through the box. And it was the only thing we had today!

how many people realise that if the motorways are closed due to weather, the airports are closed due to the weather, refuse collections are suspended due to the weather - it's logical to assume that items of mail are filtering through the systems very well at the moment.

If you haven't had all your mail - have a think first about where that mail originates and how it comes to landing on your doormat before thinking the posties are being lazy.

    Please.

Not a dig at anyone in particular, just a general moan.

also remember how much mail is downstream access
so another company has to collect that mail and then get it to RM to go into the network

I'm still getting deliveries off the likes of DHL, The postie on foot but not the postie in the van. The weather isn't that bad I'm still out and about.

Needless to say after complaining to my customer who is a team leader at the said office he said he would sort it out for me and also emailing the CEO of Royal Mail my parcel was delivered yesterday along with a competition win that was despatched on the 1.12.10, It was for my mum she won some kitchen devil knives which I had won a set last week that I got delivered to my partners house in manchester which came last thursday funny eh. They were found on the bay not even out for delivery.

The CEO from Royal Mail got back to me this morning saying that he was asking the said delviery office for answers as to why our parcels have been delayed and us being messed around at least he's taking it seriously.

    Steph xx
  • A neighbour refused a delivery from Royal Mail today
He got back into his van and was apologising for delivering to wrong address

You hve mentioned it before and ive got to ask.
what exactly is a team leader in a delivery office?
  • A team leader in Royal Mail especially if anywhere in the Manchester area, is usually the person who cleans the bogs or has no mates and sows patches on his jumper elbows and reads The Courier from cover to cover.
    Hope that helps Custardy.
