    Evening Everyone

Had no internet for a couple of days due to the cold weather and felt like my arms had been cut off!! Had a terrible week with cars and snow but home safely for the weekend. I am a bit stir crazy this week with not being able to get anywhere but at least I can stay warm and have plenty in. School eventually closed today at 12.30 - by the time all the parents where phoned and then arrived to pick their little darlings up it was about 2.45. They finish at 3!! Waited on to help out with the phoning, etc and can't believe how many staff also left early, even teachers who were still responsible for the children. Fair enough for those who had a long way to travel (me) and live in a rural location (me) but I was one of the last. By the time I got away the snow had stopped anyway! Moan over.

Been raining here this afternoon after snow all day so the next thing will be floods!

Glad you had a good time Flutterby and well done to JackieG for clearing those paths, just hope your back is ok. Sorry your trip is off JackieO but you will enjoy going to Liverpool.

My DD went missing once at Disneyland in Florida, there next to me moaning one minute and then silence. She was found by a member of staff and he was a rather large man who sat her on his shoulder so that she could see us. That shut her up!! Very frightening though and feel for anyone who has to endure that.

Hope you all stay warm and safe, have a good weekend. Take care XX
  • I'm back, thank goodness, I have been using Mr Jackies laptop and it wouldn't restart this afternoon/evening, I don't know what I did, but I've fixed it now. :D thank Goodness he might have put me in the skip, instead of the neighbours' children :rotfl:

Bitsy that must have been terrifying, luckily I have never lost mine, but they were scared to within in an inch of their lives at an early age that they must be able to see us at all times when we are out. Mind you, it could just be luck :rotfl:

Burnt the dinner trying to fix this, the sausages were rock hard so we're having an Indian as my monthly guest has arrived and I just CBA'd anymore :p

Stay safe tonight, good wishes still for JackieO's brother, and I hope BBrain manages to keep warm.xxx

    Hello all,

Have been missing a bit this week as we have had about 2 feet of snow and its been brass monkies...even with heat on the only rooms downstairs that have been comfortably warm have been the living room and kitchen with fires on....computer room is always cold and I wasn't lighting a third fire so have been reading and running.

We had no water for two days until this evening, there is no water going to dishwasher so am just going to wash up what we used to-day and let it drip dry....I hate washing up!!

Large pot of soup has been on the go since Monday, think that there is only one more bowl so will go with something else tomorrow, maybe much the same but tomato based.

Schools all closed in this area as we have been getting the worst of the weather....DD3 hasn't been able to get to work either, her car is almost covered in snow and it would take her half a day to get there by bus, as she finishes next Wednesday I presume it is not a problem.

We really were lucky to get home from Scotland on Sunday, think that travel hasn't been too easy ever since...have a godson near Glasgow, am very fond of him and his wife, but would not have liked to have imposed on them for days on end.

Hugs to all in need or want, stay in unless you must go out, stay warm
