Me too, my houses have dwindled considerably. Job well done afaic.
In an effort to eke out time I have taken to making a task and a half of writing in pencil, rubbing out and then rewriting in pen. It's also important to make a mountain out of blowing the debris of the eraser off the page. Bar codes (what's left of them) are now being fixed to my worksheet with slow and considered geometric precision.
Let it not be said that killing time isn't an art form!

I'm down now to about 20 houses, I kill time chatting to the neighbours, admiring the flowers or weeds and walking slowly. Two field visits took nearly 3 hours and an old folks home wiped 10 off my list! Its going to be a long week....I'll end up just sitting outside their house with a packed lunch.
I still didn't manage to get onto the staff website despite ringing the helpdesk. I find that the site keeps going down. I worked out the timesheet /expenses bit on Friday by myself. Am I missing anything thats not already covered in the manuals?0 -
It sounds like you're doing what you need to do Purse String. One quick question to other collectors - my co-ordinator told me that we had to fill in a dummy form for EVERY property we visit as soon as Phase 2 started on April 20th. is this the same for other collectors??0

I expect your coordinator meant fill in a dummy for every non-contact -ie visit 3(+) times and no contact. There is a tick box for this on the dummy. That is what us coordinators have been told to pass on.

Yes but not ONLY the non-contact Becky. I have been told to do them even for people we've had contact with, even if they say they have posted their questionnaires off. And the ones who say they will post off, and the ones we have given replacement questionnaires. So it's pretty much all that I have left to do is the dummy route, but to still keep trying and getting the originals back.0 -
Yep, that's what I've been told, too. For the remaining week we are to revisit all outstanding addresses and do dummy forms for all (no contacts, those that have said they have completed/will complete their questionnaires and those to whom replacements have been issued). The thinking behind this is that if in the meantime the householder returns their questionnaire, it will overwrite the dummy on the system anyway, and it's a way of ensuring everyone is covered.
On the subject of hours and diminishing workloads, my co-ordinator has told us to claim for our contracted hours regardless. He takes the view that it's not the collectors' fault if there is insufficient work, and we shouldn't lose out. He said that with the exception of two or three of the districts he is responsible for, it has gone incredibly well and returns are very good. In a way, in not having enough work to fill our hours we are the victims of our own success!
I've enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. By and large people have been pleasant and helpful, and of course the weather has been very kind. The extra income is timely and more welcome than I can say :T0 -

Yes that is correct for the remaining week. From the 20th it was only dummy forms for non-contacts.

Same here. I want to see if I can get a few more questionnaires out.
However there a few houses I'll be doing dummy forms today for as I know I'll never make contact with them.
Very good money. :cool:0
