You'll get 40p per mile. If you have an economical car the expenses can really boost your pay.

Hi all
I am a new poster and I have just been offered the job of Census collector. So I guess the job offers must be coming through now0 -
apologies for double posting this - i didn't see this was a more active thread.
does anyone know if the length of contract (6 april to 6 may ie 4 weeks and 2 days) means you can claim working tax credit?
also, will you qualify for housing benefit extended payment? or not so because it's less than 5 weeks?0 -
Evening all,
Has anyone heard anything regarding the roles of non compliance officer? I submitted my application before the deadline at the beginning if feb, and haven't heard diddly squat.....Doesn't suprise me though from reading through this thread :-$
MinkyBusy mother of two, juggling with my new job as Infant Feeding Support and keeping up with good household management!
I became debt free after losing my Mum :A ...I'd rather be poor again.0 -
Still waiting to hear about the collector job, and the interviewer job. I had a phone interview for the interviewer job on monday, and he said I'd hear in two or three weeks. I bit my tongue and didn't ask if that was the same sort of "two or three weeks" as for the collector role (now going on for three MONTHS!)
Grrrrr!0 -

Hi, I also applied for this (and the assistant role). Deadline over a month ago, job supposed to start in 6 weeks and still heard absolutely nothing. So as far as I am aware, they still have to:
Arrange sift ability testing
Shortlist
Telephone interview
Shortlist
Send out job offers
Arrange online training
Send out training manuals
Arrange classroom training
Check ID info etc
Request and recieve references
Complete CRB checks
Complete contracts and payroll info
Not much to cram into 6 weeks then!:rotfl:

I applied for a co-ordinator role back in september- In january I was told I was unsuccesfull but they would keep me in reserve and asked for my ID details etc.
Today I received an email saying they were still processing the info.
As for the collector role I am still waiting for an email after completing interview.
Do they send out "not succesful -go away emails" or just let the situation go on indefinitely0 -
I am presuming they will let it go on for ever tbh.
Had phone interview for collector on 17th December. Told I would hear in 2 to 3 weeks. I think they might have meant 2-3 months but saying that it is nearly 3 months since I had the interview..0 -
Well it's FOUR months to the day I had my Test for a Collectors role and guess what.........I'm still flippin waiting:mad:
I have been told now on five occassions that I would be informed of the outcome in 2-3 weeks! Perhaps C(r)apita are based on Mars and their weeks are sooooooooo long!
Pi** poor preparation prevents perfect production;)0
