Hi, I finished as special enumerator on 23rd April and my P45 came in post today, so it took about a month. I didn't request it, it came automatically. Hope this helps.

    hi

Does anyone know if there's anymore money coming our way? I wouldn't normally think so but the money's really been rolling in so I was hoping perhaps there'll a few extra £££££ thrown in for good measure!
  • I received a contract for Census Collector 3.29weeks at 25hrs a week. I never got a call from a coordinator, followed it up with HR. Still no call. I've sent them a stern email, copying in Ian Cope Deputy Director of Census Operations.

I believe they're in breach of their contract of employment. The only stipulation they make about the amount of work you may get is:

5.13 If there is a reduction in work, we may temporarily lay you off without pay or reduce your working hours and your pay proportionately on giving notice of at least one clear day. Depending on the circumstances you may have a statutory right to a guarantee payment.

Well, they never even contacted me, let alone gave me one clear days notice.

On the final lap of what has to have been the most pointless, frustrating fruit loop job I have ever undertaken. I really can't get my head around just how much a months work has cost to facilitate and at the end of the day for what? Census Coverage Survey. Thank you for the money but I do feel like I have been sweeping leaves in a force 10 gale. Just been told to go out and revisit a house I know is empty AGAIN. Just goes to prove most statisticians just sit in darkened rooms all day and who's only concept of real life revolves around a box being ticked and the correct highlighter pen utilised to its maximum effect.
Oh and to whoever lives at Number 15 I can see your curtains twitching I KNOW YOUR IN THERE!!! I WILL BE BACK (at least another 5 times).

I didn't get a P60. I don't really know how they work, but I thought that the P45 gives you all the info you need.

the p60 is what you get at the end of the tax year. As an enumerator, which i was, we were working then so they should send us one as well as the p45.

will try and ring them and check

I've not received my P60 from my normal employer yet, so I wouldn't worry too much if you've not got it.

Anyone else waiting around to be given work from their manager for the CCS Interviewer job? Twiddling my fingers for the past couple of days!

Also I thought this week and next was supposed to be 15 contracted hours?

This weeks timesheet is showing 25 contracted hours, I've asked if this is a mistake and my manager just says he is looking into it :o
