Anyone else just get an email asking if you're interested in a role as a CCS Interviewer?

Yes, I had an e-mail too. No idea what the hours are or the pay is though!! Does anyone know what the rate of pay is?

I might have an agency job for 2 weeks that is due to start on Monday...it only pays 6 p.h so now I'm unsure whether to take that or hope that I get the CCS interviewer job.
  • You get a big Thanks from me

My co-ordinator said just do as many hours as you can, I suggested 15 to cover the two days and he said fine, but remember to add an extra hour to cover the meeting that we should have had today (our weekly meeting), so I am going to claim 16 hours in all.

    It's between £8.02 and 10.42 an hour.

It's not full time though the hours are :

    09/05/11 – 22/05/11 25 hours
    23/05/11 – 03/06/11 15 hours
    04/06/11 – 10/06/11 0 Non-operational period for holiday allowance

You can't claim HB and CTB unless you're eligible for JSA , which we aren't because we're officially still under contract to the ONS and therefore unavailable for work.

I know this thread has now gone aff on a completely new tangent but just wanted to point out that HB and CTB are not dependent on a JSA claim - you can claim if you are working and are on a low income.
There is a calculator here which you can use to see if you are eligible for HB/CTB and approxiamately how much you would receive:
    https://www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/webforms/(z5zc4k45ngv0kf45txy2vn55)/housingbenefits/hbcalc.aspx?src=999

You may even be able to apply for backdated benefit if you shoudl have claimed.

Yes for the initial periods hand holding is encouraged. The "patch" is worked by two people over the month but not always at the same time howver we are required to ensure details in our survey listings Book A (held by me say) are transcribed to Book B exactly and constant liaison between pairs is undertaken at all times.

I don't understand the point of all of this totting up the figures in pairs malarky. I get why it might be beneficial to pair up for the property listing, but beyond that, why do I need to speak to my partner every other day?

This was raised in the training. However as mentioned before the day was more questions than answers. In fact I would go as far as to say the paperwork side of things is an absolute nightmare to get your head around and will probably eat up more time than actual customer interviews.
