Quite right..our streets are paved with gold you know and our lifestyle idyllic. Oh, wait, hang on a moment i think i must have just slipped into a parallel world there for a moment :rotfl:

BTW, I had a buyer contact me from Glasgow today to say her item had just turned up and asking me how i managed to get a postman to deliver it to her on a Sunday. I'm obviously special.

    Its December

Ok comeon then Soolin i would love to here how you would do it then.
ANd i mean it, im interested in how you would do it.

Having been an auction seller for more years than I care to recall I actually wouldn't set up my own site. Big ones have given up or failed, medium ones have failed and run up personal debts, smaller ones (and I've watched half a dozen launch and struggle into obscuriity) have just faded away.

I'd be looking for a new opportunity. Why try and reinvent ebay or ebid, do something entirely new that's how money is made.

Oh dear soolin, You have not given them the answers they need to setup this business.

If they fail its all down to your lack of advice, lol.

You could claim consultancy fee but they dont need any outside help that would cost money. Reason for
    this post i suppose.

    Free consultancy.

If you could offer a better place to BUY items, then no doubt you would do very well indeed....

Unfortunately I think that's the only course of action that anyone can sensibly take..

The only conceivable way I can see that ebay could be toppled as the main auction hub would be if facebook or google attempted to usurp them by adding some sort of auctioning facility into their current products. Apart from that it'd take something absolutely huge.

I guess an auction site for a specific type of niche product may *possibly* be an idea, but I still think ebay is going to be far and away the biggest auction site for some time to come.
