You should get one of those!

Rabbits are OK, but sheep offer more potential if the losers are going to end up as Sunday dinner....

PN you'll be familiar with The Big Sheep. Must admit, when it opened, I didn't think it would survive. Even when our kids were young, they'd happily pass it by, saying: "Nah, we can see sheep any time!"

I've heard the name, I know it's sheep (from the name), not quite sure where it is.

I've not actually been to many 'tourist attractions', certainly no 'themed' places. They're all targetted at families - and well off families I think when you see the prices :)

I've only been to Eden because the dates I happened to go it was either about £5 or free -AND- I was with somebody who really, really wanted to go.

Just looked, it's 'oop North' :P
£10.95 ... they can keep that. Just looked through and there's absolutely nothing there I'd be interested in.

I did go to look round the sheep tent (don't they !!!!!!' pong) at the Royal Cornwall Show one year. I say one year, I only went once just because I'd never been. It's lots of walking - and some sheep. http://www.royalcornwallshow.org/ - oh and lots of things for posh people to buy.

Have a quick rewatch of Jean De Florette if you want to see what happens to incomers who hope to make their fortune from rabbits...

Sue - phone some repairers and get one to agree to fix it for £50 cash. I will sub you the money and you can pay me back at the weekly rental cost.

Aww thanks for the offer but there really is no need, we will get something sorted. Even if we do go rental, the cost is not too expensive (unlike other rental places) but hopefully my brother and or the family friend should be able to rig something in place once the bank holidays, study etc have calmed down.

    But thankyou for the offer.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Never heard of Jean De Florette, so it's not a rewatch, it's a Google and Youtube moment.

Looks like a furren film http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Florette

I love rabbit pie. My uncle used to shoot rabbits then bring them round and we'd have a rabbit pie.

I've just enjoyed the Royal rundown from you lot yesterday and particularly enjoyed Viva's lip-reading commentary, thanks. I thought your guess on the dress was actually pretty close with the lacy arms!

    This was our house yesterday:

That's the most decent of the pictures. Charles had quite a thing for certain types of sign language and enjoying Camilla's company a bit too much!

I've been scalped.... thought it was time for a trim, come away with an old lady haircut :(

I went in with long, past shoulder-length hair that was mostly blonde ... and seem to have come out with 2-3" hair all over that's now dark brown :(

She's cut off about 2" more than I expected. On the plus side, this is my natural colour I've not seen for 10 years ... and I'm not grey.

I think I need to go blonde again, not liking this dark stuff at all. It doesn't suit my colouring.

    Edit:
Probably went in with this much (random picture) http://stores.wholesalecentral.com/images/960FHL2O2Y_2ANJ1DOIPX43XGUKH8A/0120134642860.JPG

And came out with this http://www.freewebs.com/catluvsrobbie/liz.jpg

(except went in light and came out dark)

I need to stop going to cheap old lady salons.

You know families are a really strange thing

I dont know any of you really but you are all my online family.

Michaels, I am sure if we were there we could get Sues w/machine fixed by Monday. But we aint there.

I am not going to ask any of you to give a penny. You all gave so bliddy wonderfully before.

And next year it will be a cooker or a fridge freezer or god knows what. That is the nature of families.

And times are so much tougher.

However, you can buy a washing machine for about £200 and I can always manage a tenner.

Sue, can you PM your paypal address please.

Single Sue, I have used Additions / Very to buy household electricals.

There are generous sign up discounts if you're not already a customer (and for some reason you can sign up for an account under each trading name under the ShopDirect group).

Plus there is quick and reliable tracking cashback of between 3-7% (seems to vary month to month) on topcashback.

You can pick up 7kg machines from £220.

I buy under 'buy now pay later' schemes. Typically, the APR once you start paying, if you use the payment free period, is something ridiculous like 40%, BUT, if you voluntarily clear the balance before the no payment period ends it is interest free.

I think the usual time scales are 9/10 months. So it should cost well under £5 per week (over 10 months) after discounts and cashback :)
