Gotta write more hubs though! I'll keep an eye out for one of their challenges, to motivate me + they're good for getting/building traffic, especially if you combine two things: [

Hubpages' traffic's been hit by google's recent changes, though, it's significantly down. more useful for backlinks than traffic in itself, I think.

Probably my first (really cr4ppy it was) hub is still turning in £80 or so every year. Not bad for 20 minutes' work about 3 years ago.

How many hubs do you have? And what sort of traffic?

Fat makes œstrogen, hence "man boobs".

And some foods are oestrogenic too. but hormones control weight in more ways than oestrogen....I've had lots of tests for these sorts of things. :o:o

7'8" x 6'6" is quite common in 1-bed flats as the only bedroom ... and if you're looking at 1-bed flats you're feeling grateful you're not looking at studios.

My bedroom when I was growing up was smaller than that. No room to swing a cat, had to keep the cat downstairs!

In Camden, there is a minimum size limit for 1 beds, can't remember what it is, but it's bigger than that. About 120 sq feet, I think.

    An American writes:

A total room size below 300 square feet can feel claustrophobic to me. I was reading a description of a grand deluxe room at the Westin St. Francis, San Francisco and the size was listed as 200 to 360 sq. ft. That is quite a range of room sizes for a $280 per night room – before taxes. 360 square feet in a high ceilinged room can feel cavernous. 200 square feet is going to be much closer to a small standard sized hotel room. The lowest cost rooms at the St. Francis Hotel are listed as 145 sq. ft. with a double bed and no view and range from $109 to $229.
Most rooms in upper upscale hotels like Hilton, DoubleTree Crowne Plaza, Marriott, Renaissance, Westin, and Sheraton will be somewhere in the 300 to 400 square feet range. Closer to 300 is more probable than the 400 square foot range.
I think 400 square feet is a good number for when a room starts to feel comfortably sizeable for a hotel stay. 500 square feet feels like a substantial upgrade and allows two people to have some private space. 600 square feet to 800 square feet is feeling suite. Over 800 square feet and you have scored a hotel “living” room.

I really enjoy a room over 400 square feet and closer to 500 square feet has a real feeling of hotel spaciousness. In the past month I have stayed in several hotel suites in the 700 to 800 square feet range and that feels comfortable when I am away from home; sometimes downright luxurious.
When you have a small room the primary factor that can improve the stay is a room window with a view.

Personally, I find a 10' X 12' room is adequate for a double bed, especially if it has fitted furniture.
Stayed once upon a time in a charming timbered hotel in Normandy, but the rooms were so small that they had had to resort to tricks such as mirrors & recessing wash basins into the walls.
Our American cousins talk about "European" style rooms when they mean "small".

Htels are different. for s hort stay you might not unpack properly and need somewhere to leave a couple of suitcases handy and somewhere to sit. you certainly don't plan furniture to fit in long term items.....hairdryers, laundry baskets etc. You need kicking room, even though you hope not to be i there a lot. (actually I find I am in there a bit, as I certainly need my nap when away:o)

Our bedroom is going to be quite big, which seems a wee bit wasteful to me....I'm barely in there awake....but there will be room for a dog bed and a big bed for humans and cats too.

    About 200.
Over 500,000 views so far I think (could be close to 1,000,000)... I'd need to check.

Has somebody stolen the real NDG? I didn't have you down as a hubber :)

Just checked stats, about 800,000 views to date.

There's no minimum size anywhere that I was aware of, except in council houses/flats.

I'd LOVE it if the bedroom in the eventual house I buy is 10'x12' - and if it had built in furniture too I'd think I'd won the lottery.

I expect my bedroom will be smaller.

I think there is for new builds too.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
