And more frequent service intervals.....On a modest annual mileage, there's maybe even a disincentive.
Is anyone else freewheeling a lot? On the trip over to Bournemouth the other day, I reckon we did around 10% in neutral...:o0 -

I do it a lot, always have
As it's hilly here I judge the distance to the top of each rise so I am even freewheeling over the top.
Freewheeling from 60 down to 30, where the next speed restriction is, can be tricky as you can't do it while anybody's behind you (or you're the mad old driver that was going slow)... but I even do that where I can.0 -
Oh, I feel for you, You've got so much on your plate that I have no idea how you manage. I was only joking by the way.
I thought the only problem with the washing machine is that the hinge has swung back inside and you need to get that out again so you can fix the door to it? Sounds like it would take 60 seconds fishing with a bent piece of wire/ wire coat hanger.
Aww thanks...no the fixing thing has dropped back into the machine to an area we cannot see let alone reach, I heard it fall so it would be pretty much like trying to find a needle in a haystack through a hole only a small metal piece would fit through whilst blind folded. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
When I drive to the library, I can get almost all the way there in neutral. On the way home though, its all uphill. Which is why I don't generally walk. Of course I would never dream of doing this...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Needs must, when the Devil drives!
Yes, there is the matter of lost engine braking, but on most of the journeys I do, that's a minor issue.0 -
I've been over on Twitter where a lot of people are claiming to be able to lip-read. Somehow I don't think they are taking this seriously...
Kate to William "there's a Big Mac waiting back at Buck House".
William to Kate "Elephant Shoes" (to what others have translated as I love you)
William to Kate "Could have made an effort"
Prince Phillip to Queen "Off with his head"Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? elephant shoes. I love it.
People are banal.
I think I've found our ''new'' car. Older than my little car that died and with a bad reputation, but probably the right vehicle for us now.0 -
Our over bath shower panel fell off this morning - 14 months old so no doubt we won't get any joy from the retailer and a fun job for me to do today, the top plastic 'hinge' is broken so it will need to be replaced.
SSue it looks like you are either going to have to try and fix the washing machine yourself or pay a man - if the laundry prices there are anything they are like here it won't take long for getting it fixed to pay for itself - its a shame you don't live nearer as I would come and give it a try.I think....0 -
