Knowing that people can lip read, I'd have spent the last few months practising ventriloquism :)

I had wanted to get married in the tree cathedral, with the pets there.

Bit dodgy, taking a dog in there!;)

I used my time usefully .... by writing another short and pointless article for a website :)

It wasn't even a good one, but it's words and it's out there now. Kind of pleased as I've realised that I should sit and do a month's hard writing... waiting for the start of the month to join in with some contest/challenge, so this was a warm up to see if I'd forgotten my little set routine of putting them together.

And no ... it was nothing about any wedding, or Royals at all.... it was about Google ads :)

Sorry GDB.....I've pretty much ignored it because it has been a hectic week, was away for most of last weekend, kids back to school this week, middle son having an aspergic rage on Tuesday leaving me in pain and trying to get revision done.

I have had various offers of trying to fix an external bolt system to afix the door onto (as even if we can get the bit out, we still need to get it fixed inside of the machine) but time has not been on my side this week.

Oh, I feel for you, You've got so much on your plate that I have no idea how you manage. I was only joking by the way.

I thought the only problem with the washing machine is that the hinge has swung back inside and you need to get that out again so you can fix the door to it? Sounds like it would take 60 seconds fishing with a bent piece of wire/ wire coat hanger.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Just a quick catch up from what the chaps said to Lydia...petrol or diesel? My feeling is that with diesel prices as they now stand nothing to be saved?

Has the wedding finished yet? Is it safe to go out? DW is busy revising and has told me to go out and 'buy food' for dinner tonight plus something for lunch tomorrow. Too much choice!

You might want to wait a bit. It's a bit of a break now before the balcony scene.

My hayfever is now beyond a joke :(

I understood it's down to mileage covered. If you are doing high mileage, then you can make savings with diesel. If your mileage is low to average, then the cheaper petrol purchase price and cheaper servicing mean you'd be saving overall.

I've had mine 1 year. So far spent £99 on a service and £44 on one MoT. £230 for insurance. £50 (? no idea) on breakdown membership. £125 on tax. No idea what my mileage was, paperwork not here to look it up, but I guess you could say £500. So rounding it all off it cost me £20/week to have my car completely at my disposal 24/7. A taxi to/from one supermarket would have cost the same.

For depreciation .... who knows. You can only really know the cost of an individual car's ownership once you've sold it :)

My last one, bought new (I got £1k knocked off for cash), paid £6k, traded in for £1k. So it cost me £5k of depreciation over 9 years. So about £50/month or £10-11/week.
