Is it fairly accurate? I ask because on my car it consistently reads about 20% low - there is a theory that it is based on a litres to gallons conversion using US rather than imperial gallons.
You must have a very light right foot - we get low/mid 20s in our petrol car and high 30s in our diesel.0 -

- Pay cash
- Buy one that does everything you want/need it to, and a few things you dream it'll do
- Buy something about 3-5 years old if you can afford it
Current car had to:
- be fuel efficient
- be able to carry a lot of stuff easily in the rear
- potentially have enough room for me to sleep in it
- be able to be used as a beach hut
It does all of that and more.
My theory is to buy nearly new, so I don't pay the initial mark up on brand new cars.
That theory falls down when I then go and choose a car that has only just been launched:o

I am bored. And tired. Perhaps a combination of both.
I can't wait for the weekend for a break. Won't get much of one though, cos of this census malarky and what not, plus I still need to break up the 4 chopped down trees to put em in the green sacks.
I will get to go to the football match this weekend though!:) Which is a rare treat!
And I plan on going to see the might Tim Booth on sunday evening.
So much for a rest then...;)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

It can be considered an investment, if you buy at the right price.

My brother is on about getting one at the mo.
Perhaps it is just me, I dunno. Just seems wierd...
Perhaps I'm a tight 4rse. I'd only change my number plate if the one I've got broke.:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Me too. I used never to be bored but I'm finding atm I'm too tired to do stuff that would destroy the boredom. I used to believe the saying only boring people are bored. Now I'd extend it to tired people too. Of course being tired makes you boring.....so...maybe I was right all along.:o
re numberplates: I'd like one....but not a word one. Just something I could remember!0 -
I've found a website that attracts private landlords (mostly homeowners with a spare room, or landlords with HMOs) ... but it does have the very very occasional "self contained annexe" listed. So, just emailed two adverts to find out more. One's about 20 miles away, the other's 80 miles away. The advantage of these is that there won't be ridiculous agent fees and probably not an AST either.
I can't share. I'd be all twitchy and anxious around people. And I need to have my own space so I can be an oddball by wearing the same leggings/T shirt for 3 weeks in a row and sitting outside at 3am having a smoke
They're all "fully inclusive" too, so no faffing about with bills/suppliers, which I hate.0 -
Only once, are you a nun or something? You need to live a little more....PasturesNew wrote: »It can be considered an investment, if you buy at the right price.
