I do have more free time than money at the moment, tesco is 4 miles, don't normally go there but it seems rude not to take their money.
Have had 240 of vouchers in 3 visits - got it down to DW and I both go in twice and each basket needs to cost at least £20 (to be paid for by previous voucher) and needs to cost no more than £10 less in asda.
For example dishwasher tablets 12.98, toothpaste 1.96 2xmagnum 2.29, flour 1.48 cost 5.00, 1.00, 1.00 and 1.00 total cost in Tesco 20.98, in asda 9.00, tesco give back a voucher for £20 as they are £11.98 more so you could repeat this every day using the voucher from the previous day and spending only 98p each time.
Official limit is redeem 1 voucher per day but if you pay by cash and don't use a clubcard they have no way of knowing...
.
...just to be 100%. I go in and buy £20 worth of DTD items, come home, input receipt online and get a voucher just like that? Do I have to put in my postcode each time?
We have one just opened that is a 10 min diversion on the way home so I could just go in every evening after work.
I am liking this scheme very very much just because some Tesco Dreamteam in a faraway office plotted and brought in this promo thinking it would just sound good and be all Tesco worthy.....but that it wouldn't cost them much cash.
Probably never thought a group of people would exploit it to the max.....esp a group that track all items and pop them all onto a spreadsheet online for all to see. Love it.:rotfl:0 -
I still dont understand why he was offended.
Everyone else obviously does so it must be me
I feel all Hamishish.
I think he keeps lists of anyone that has ever said something he disagrees with. I certainly get attacked if I put something really bland in a thread of his.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I'm going to make a guess that it won't have been the first time someone has said that to the particular poster!
I'm not being very nice in my usual home board this evening. I didn't think I was in a bad mood but I'm feeling quite strongly that some people should watch the news or talk to someone with genuine challenges and have a little re-address of their ideas of what constitutes a problem. Might need to not type on that board for a few days!
The moon is stunning this evening. It was orange earlier, I've been sat in the dark watching it move across the window. It's just out of sight of my space now. It would be nice if Professor Brian Cox were in my room to explain whyEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I find it very amusing too.
Also amusing are some of the posts of the people obsessed by it. Like,
"I've now got 15 legs of lamb, any idea how to cook it?"
and my favourite,
"what do I do with a roasting tin?"I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. you put in with an email address so most are using a dirreent address each day (eg 1@fc123.com, 2@fc123.com etc) and then the following day tesco email a link to print the voucher so yes you should be able to do it every day. Hopefully next time asda change their special offers there will be a whole new set of things to buy.
This week toiletries like l'oreal and sun cream seem to have been big winners, also got some toothbrush heads tesco price 18.98, asda price £10 so net cost less than 2 quid. Plus cornettos and magnums, and indeed sausages (22p for 24 butchers choice cumberland) and beans (87p for 4btins of heinz) if that is what you prefer....just to be 100%. I go in and buy £20 worth of DTD items, come home, input receipt online and get a voucher just like that? Do I have to put in my postcode each time?I think....0 -
IT is good - obviously those annoying asda adds where they promise to be 10% cheaper than tesco et al have been hurting Tesco so they thought they would fight back with their own price promise but rather than just going with 10% they went for 'double the difference' and hence their downfall, Asda can now run rings round them with different specials, Tesco have already had to sharply restrict the deal (max £20 per voucher - £100 per month was introduced after the first week of the offer) and wil end up having to drop the whole thing - no doubt however quietly Tesco try to do this Asda won't let it slip by un-noticedI think....0

I guess all problems are relative to each person ....haven't looked at that board tonight but I will now.......been far too wrapped up in how to buy a years worth of moisturiser for £0 and how many trips it will take buying £20 worth per day.
Back of an envelope sum says quite a lot of time. If I can park, run in, grab booty, go to quick till and it doesn't have a 15 minute queue, it's do-able however I can see myself weakening as the 'prize' balanced against having to stand in a Tesco queue every single night after work could put me off it....but I really want to try it.I find it very amusing too.

Would 15 legs of lamb been 8 seperate trips over 8 days?0 -
does this work in ALL tesco stores? I may been doing some spreadsheet juggling tomorrow while I'm at work buying 2 tonnes of topsoil0

The £20 limit is a PITA though as I guess you have to go in and out buying a batch of stuff each time. Realistically it could take all day..and it would look odd as easiest way is to bulk buy each item......so a basket full of deoderants 1st, 2nd basket full of shampoo and so on.
I've had no trouble in the past asking the cashier to do one lot of stuff, let me pay for that, and then start on another lot. Nothing to do with this offer, just when I was buying stuff for my office as well as stuff for my home.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I do it all the time too, usually because I am picking up a few items for my parents at the same time as doing my shop.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
