The more I think about the car issue, the more I think I need something reasonably similar to the Tino. Any smaller and I'd seriously miss the boot space. Any bigger and I'd be stung by increases in tax, insurance and fuel costs. I am wondering about a Toyota Corolla Verso. If any of you are familiar with the Tino and the Verso, I'd like to know how you think I'd find it.

    Thanks.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It's accidental damage so may be covered. It should be pretty obvious from the policy if you're covered for accidental damage.

Whether it's worth claiming and possibly paying a higher premium next year is moot. The glass on a washing machine door is relatively simple to replace in most cases.

It's trying to find a replacement door which is not quite so easy......

Tell us the make and model of the washing machine and maybe somebody on here will have some helpful ideas about sourcing a new one.

I think our ''what the hell car to buy'' has been grottily solved by agreeing to buy a dead relative's banger. I don't know what it is even but its saved a lot of effort and helps out a family member. If it lasts a year I'll feel its done us proud.

I have been looking at this Tesco thing. All I have to do is buy things we dont want and wont eat and Tescos will pay me to do the same again?

I am not exactly sure how this will save me money.

It certainly wont save me any time

I have also been looking at the Tesco thing...started an order, got peed off because the particular weight etc wasn't available and have given up for now.

For me it is the initial take the money out of my account that is the problem, I know it comes back in vouchers but it would have to be very finely tuned to work for me.

Model number and make for washing machine (thanks Lydia) - LG WD1480 FHD.

Doesn't Australian insurance have an "Act of Numpty" clause?

I canna understand the supermarket thingie, captain... she willna take n'more.

Do you have to order online or something? Because I don't want a tesco delivery lorry going down our drive. There is no guarantee that it would get up it again. In fact, last time a delivery lorry came down our drive, it didn't get back up again for hours.

Sue, you need to contact LG here http://www.lg.com/uk/support/contact/support-here-to-help.jsp#

And you need to start off subtle. Remember you are dealing with real people (mostly women). Tell them exactly what you told us. Your disabled son dropped........... and you are doing demented on count of you are a single parent.

You will get an email back asking you for 200quid. Be BRAVE. Email them back saying I cant afford that, hand washing isnt the end of the world etc, will they hold the price while you save up?

Have they an account you can pay into?

You will have a new door fitted in a fortnight

I know it is humiliating but needs must Sue.

You don't need to understand any of it. Just choose things from the spreadsheet here:

    https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AlTY5zCarucZdGtYS29pVEZQTV9sZGgtbWRsejRGLXc&output=html

Go to Tesco and buy enough so that the DTD column in the spreadsheet totals around £20.

Then input the code off your Tesco receipt and Tesco send you a money off coupon.

Then you repeat and repeat and repeat again.

Personally, I couldnt bring myself to buy things I didn't want. But have occasionally claimed the vouchers when my genuine shop has been worth it.
Thank god its not just me.

    :rotfl::rotfl:

I am quite confused by it too .....along with Viva and LIR.

I just read some of the thread and printed off the spread sheet.

Can I buy the goods on Tesco.com then claim the DTD?

The max is £20 odd in the DTD column also?

I really want to try and understand how it works so I can use it too but I don't 'get it'......which makes me feel really really fick.:o
