My wife took one look at TVO and decided what the letters stand for - rude bits with a happy outcome. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

is there something in the air? I've had a car accident today
Big or little crash, Misskool? Anything you can walk away from and type a message on MSE is a good outcome.
I gave up trying to repair the kids' car as they had so many bashes. How can you reverse hard into a skip?!!! £1k worth of damage just on that, not forgetting driving into the back of a bus. That's DD. DS no. 3 hit a tree, although to be fair he and I fitted a new bumper and wing ourselves, with him doing nearly all the work. We still have a cupfull of left-over nuts and bolts from that project. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
I know this guy, yes he really did do this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMFyjr7hN9w

I'm alive and well. Nothing happened to anyone else. My insurance company is doing half liability. Wrong lane for roundabout, he clipped my wing and front bumper.
Possible to get car fixed without claim if chassis (is that the right word) not bent. Now hoping other driver won't claim so i get 1 years ncb and that will help my increased policy next year because of an accident. I feel so stupid now0 -

I was out one day, round here so there's not much traffic, I was in the left hand lane and was going straight over. A guy came up in a van to my right ... and promptly turned left and cut me up on the roundabout, idiot. I think he assumed I'd be going left (not many go straight over) and figured if he put his foot down he could overtake me on the wide exit bit.0

I 've been interested enough twice to influence with what that ''something'' is by choosing it over something else. with the small car I had that died last year however, it was different.I knew I wanted THAT car. I tried others and they weren't the same. I wish it hadn't died: I spent too much keeping it alive.I have that tendancy...taking them to the breakers having poured hundreds /thousands over years patching them up to total lack of economic viability.
Because I have no knowledge or much interest I have sometimes dreamt of leasing....changing while its still ''fresh'' and having less worry about what you'll do when it dies. I also thought, this time about going to a car auction, but decided I really want to part with very little money.
My dream car now is impractical (tesla), and others I'd like too expensive(tesla! or a big, lux four x four...) or trouble ridden (freelander). I like a car to have a decent radio and heating. I love that autopilot thing for motorways, where you don't have to keep your foot on the accelerator. I've only used that in my dad's car and it took a bit of getting used to. I quite like heated seats.
OMG..don't go near the Freelander. Worst car in the world.
OH bought one new and it has cost us sooooo much and caused us masses of hassle .........like me breaking down outside Rotherhithe tunnel and all the drivers shouting at me as I couldn't push it to the side of the road....or breaking down just after Blackwall tunnel on an approach....and other drivers hinked and shouted at us....yeah like we chose to stop in the middle of road on purpose just to p them off...not.
She is 02 plate and had her 4th new engine this Jan....the 1st being under warranty just before she was a year old. Fault? They say no no no...we say absolutely plus we got the Friday Pm-er on top so lots of extra niggles.
We are p/exing it as soon as we have time to go choose another car for him to use. I got a great Polo for 3k......and it's perfect for SE London....not nice enough to steal or for someone to want to 'key' it out of spite. I leave it in all sorts of grotty places and its always still there when I get back unharmed and unvandalised. She's not a pretty car and awful colour too but drives like a whippet.PasturesNew wrote: »I've found a website that attracts private landlords (mostly homeowners with a spare room, or landlords with HMOs) ... but it does have the very very occasional "self contained annexe" listed. So, just emailed two adverts to find out more. One's about 20 miles away, the other's 80 miles away. The advantage of these is that there won't be ridiculous agent fees and probably not an AST either.
I can't share. I'd be all twitchy and anxious around people. And I need to have my own space so I can be an oddball by wearing the same leggings/T shirt for 3 weeks in a row and sitting outside at 3am having a smoke
They're all "fully inclusive" too, so no faffing about with bills/suppliers, which I hate.
Good luck with the viewing.......the 20 miles away sounds good far enough away but not too far YKWIM?
How are things indoors at the mo? Hope things are ok considering the circumstances.is there something in the air? I've had a car accident today
Oh..sorry to hear that....shakes one up a bit too.
I still haven't recovered from lirs pics of DH's smash up.
....and Tesco?. Today went insane (for a change) and we didn't get out the door until 7pm......and DD also wanted to get home (as we start about 8.15) plus we were hungry and zapped out.
So no Tesco trip today...but tomo is another day and I understand the list changes tonight at midnight so..........OH said he will come too and we will do 2 baskets each (so 4 x £20) as I explained to him today how it worked.
He also wants to do it as it also represents a silent anti-corp/Tescopoly protest...nice and subtle 'power of one' feeling.
I will look at the list tomo and make a new selection.:)0 -
Indoors, here, oncology appointment on Thursday. Presumably will know more then.
Appointment on Wed for something entirely different too, so that's two trips I have to make as Taxi Driver this week.0
