Yes, I do. Sadly, this is one of the downsides about having someone else living with you. Also, clients get offered a cup of tea/coffee soetimes, and then I have to rush off and have no hot water so don't wash up immeadiately, so there is the start of a pile. This morning I have used one mug and a glass (two coffees, a lemsip and lots of water). DH has used a glass and two mugs (a lemsip and a coffee) two plates (a crumpet I gave him with an egg on and a crumpet he made himself with honey on)...so there is a heap of washing up again.

You need to engage in the phenomenon that is "man washing".
Fill bowl/sink with piping hot water & washing up liquid.
Put cutlery & crockery in hot water.
Walk away whistling & find a seat.
Return after 10-15 mins. Remove from sink. Quick wipe where essential. Place on draining board.
Resume seated position.
Works a treat!:D:cool:It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
In my house, 'man washing' consists of sticking the cup/plate/eating implement, into the sink and walking away and then complaining loudly about things not being washed up when they want it.
There then usually follows a discussion on pocket money and the jobs that need to be done to receive it.........:rotfl:
PN -Awful news.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
ETA I phoned my former letting agent yesterday - a problem with forwarding post, so nothing major. Anyway, they tell me that there are no new tenants in there, but they're not remarketing it. I asked if that was because they were fixing the "water feature" and redecorating, but apparently not. The LA thought it was a bit odd. I wonder what is going on.
Probably changed letting agent.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. He is tired all the time, not just ordinary teenager lounge about tired but absolutely exhausted but keeps pushing himself to keep going....and then ending up falling asleep at his desk, or at the laptop doing coursework/homework at home, I don't think he has made it past 10 o clock at night for ages and I struggle to get him up in the morning.
Try switching off the internet when you go to bed. We had this with one of them Turned out that, though we thought they were going to bed early, they were actually chatting on line for hours.singlesue wrote:There are other behaviours which are contrary to his disability but he is in a big state of denial right now...he even spent last Saturday at work with a dislocated shoulder he couldn't get back in (he can usually slip it in and out on a whim) even though it was causing a lot of pain and when he did eventually get it back in, he carried on doing the same thing which had caused it to come out in the first place, only for it to come out again!
It is worrying me now but as he is 18 in 6 months and is essentially an adult, I can't force him up to the doctors or to see his physio and he refuses to go...what on earth do I do?
Make the doctor's appointment; take him to the surgery and then suggest he goes in on his own.
Be firm or do deals. I'll do XX for you (ironing?) this week if you go to the doctor's or similar deal.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Feeling "in suspended animation" here I guess... no idea what's next. Might be a few blasts in a machine and it's fixed, or maybe whip some bits out and it's fixed, or .... well, maybe already had our last Xmas. I guess we're waiting for a phone call to make some appointment to go see somebody in that field, to maybe prod about more/take more photos or whatever. Really no idea what happens ... and the old one has no clue either... ever.
That's the thing isn't it, not knowing.0 -
Hey, where is tomterm? AWOL??
PN I think it will feel ''suspended animation'' until you know further the extent and plans from here and even then it will feel''out of step''. Take care.0
